Running a 60 point small ship only contest. I'm thinking of this list, will it work at all? Is there anything which should be switched out? I'm particularly in doubt about the Engine Upgrade on Mux, would Shield Upgrade or another upgrade be better?

List is:

27 Laetin A'Shera

- 18 M3-A Interceptor

- 2 "Heavy Scyk" Inteceptor

- 4 "Mangler Cannon"

- 3 Stealth Device

33 Torkil Mux

- 19 HWK-290

- 4 Blaster Turret

- 3 Moldy Crow

- 3 Recon Specialist

- 4 Engine Upgrade

Plan is to keep Laetin at range 2-3 with the Mangler and the Hawk goes to close combat, making sure one enemy is PS 0 each round and making use of the turret.

If you take Torkhil, you should try to fit predator in there (assuming you have it):

Also, if its a small-ship only deal, ion turret will probably be more valuable as it controls movement and makes it easier to keep your ships out of arcs.

Tansari point vet w/ predator, 'heavy scyk', HLC & hull = 32

Alternatively, if you really want moldy crow or don't have an HLC, you can drop it to a mangler and fit in the crow title.

Just looking at the format...it seems like it could be an ace fest... In the smaller engagements it may be hard to pin down the mobile high PS ships.

That being said, Laetin is an interesting choice for the format. Laetin gets better the more he is outnumbered, but just against two other ships, his ability would only be worth one evade trigger. However, this could work with an ICT like Blade suggested. Either way, you need a way to stop the movement of aces or to punch through their defense.

Are you open to other ship options? Lone Wolf Guri would be pretty amazing.

Lone wolf Guri would be nasty at 60pts.
