Have you been wrecking your local scene with them? Do you have a plan for beating them? Any good lists?
What are your thoughts on or experiences with squads featuring two K-Wings?
well, second place at yesterday's store championship. Bit of a slog, but won every match save v a palp shuttle list where I thought my tactician warden would have won against the last remaining ship, a palp shuttle, but it was 33 points w/jammers. Gave up a mod win there ![]()
Miranda w/c3po TLTs and double seismics, which are invaluable and make the list far more fun than normal
people always forget the seismics

Warden w/TLT tactician
Stresshog
Stressy's great and I wouldn't take any other generic over it, because dice don't factor into how effective it can be
that said, being arc-locked and self-stressing, I got into the habit of foddering it without hesitation

turned out to be a better Biggs for 26 points

I went up against Poe + 2x TLT Tactician Kwings last night at a store championship. I was running 3x TLT Ys and Palob. The threat of Palob taking Poe's focus kept him on the back foot while I hammered the Ks with TLT. Tactician only came into play once. I only lost Palob in the win. I feel like if you just want a generic TLT carrier Y-Wings are the way to go. Generic Ks are probably better with advanced slam / bomb shenanigans unless you can fly really smart to bring a tactician into play. Sabine will be a really interesting crew for the Kwing.
I have been playing around with 2 Ks with tacticians and I find it hard to justify the 31 points compared to 24 for a Gold TLT. Clever people tend to find ways to avoid getting caught in the range-2 arc. I find the biggest benefit over the Y-wing is the 3 red dice turret the K-wing has at range-1.
I've been using an Ace (Poe or Jake) with 2x K-wings with EM, Seismic Charges, Bombadier, Conner Net.
I've found that the list works well without TLTs, although dropping the Ace for another K-wing with TLT and Recon Specialist as an escorting gunship is a lot of fun as well.
Triple K just won a 49 Player Store Champ yesterday in Atlanta. 2 Wardens with TLT and Tactician, Miranda TLT C3PO

I started out 25-0-1 (including a Winter Tournament where I didn't make the cut due to a modified win and a draw), but I'm on a relative cold streak lately, so I'm now 30-4-1. I won't get the chance to play in a store Championship until late February or early March. Doctor Paul took the same squad to a Store Championship and won with it, going 5-0, 1000MoV in Swiss. bmf also took 2nd in a store championship with the squad.
Wardens with Advanced Slam and Conner Nets are fun.

Our meta is not very full of the TLT right now and I smell an opportunity. How do you fly these? In a swarm for maximum focus fire? Do you run the Stress bot and the Bandit into the fray and let the Ks ping from the outside?

Generally I try and keep my forces together and try and force their aces into my arcs. You have to win during turn 0 with this strategy.

Just ran this for our local store champs and went 6-0. My MoV was close to that impressive but I felt luck was on my side a couple of crucial turns through out the tournament. It's a great list but very exhausting to fly imo, but then again this was my first all day X-Wing event.
On a side note everyone that showed up was awesome and I had a blast playing with all the people that traveled to our store.
I won a small tournament with 2 K-Wings and a B-Wing shortly after they came out. Went 3-0 for the day.
I've done two Store Champs now with 4x Wardens with Autoblaster Turrets. I went undefeated at the smaller tourney where we only did four rounds of Swiss, and went 3-2 on Saturday to finish at 11th out of 36 or so.
Lessons learned:
—quad TLT Y-Wings will eat the Wardens alive
—ALWAYS take a TL on Fel
I think I know now what I need to tweak, and I feel running two AutoWardens max is probably the way to go. A lot of people had either never encountered the Autoblaster Turret before or flown against K-Wings, and that helped quite a bit, but the biggest factors were being able to box in high AGI targets and choosing to SLAM away from a fight. Going all-in with the Wardens made for some interesting matchups but they have a couple of significant downsides that were amplified by a 4x25 build.
If you aren't running Esege or Miranda I highly recommend the 25-point Autoblaster Warden as a strong, potent Rebel ship; one or two can really bring a lot of punch and a lot of meat to a build. I feel they're complimented very well by TLT Golds or FCS Blues, or the right Ace and a filler ship.
