So, for my store championship list, I was running this. Concept behind it isn't rocket science. You can't kill that many dudes. End of story.
The meta was two Rebel Sabs lists, Merc beasts with Rebel supports, Mercs with Boba with Rebel supports, RGC-Trooperspam, and Vader with HKs. Oh, and TROOPERSPAM by yours truly.
Round One: RGC (Kuat Space Station - B)
His list looks like RGC, eStorm, rStorm x2, rOfficer x2.
I start in blue, run to cover the two long hallways, totally ignoring my door. He rushes most of his units the same way, but opening his door and grabbing the objective inside. RGC runs the thin hallway and wipes out my regular stormies with the help of his eStorms.I get some damage into him, but nothing really dies. He really just blends my Stormtroopers while they try to damage him. I eventually kill him, but executor has wiped a good many men off the table. When time is called, my opponent doesn't notice, ignores an objective he could have contested to prevent me 12 points, with it ending 33-34 in his favor. If we had more time, I think my eStormies remaining would have cleaned out his smaller guys.
Round Two: Merc Beasts (Cantina - B)
His list looks like rWampa x2, rNexu x2, rHK x2, Gideon, C3PO
I start in red, about 67% towards the cantina, rest towards the vaporator. He rushes two wampas towards the cantina, jumps both nexu right next to the cantina vaporator entrance, and runs the HKs outside the vaporator. A wampa dies on the first activation of turn two, the second is blocked behind a nexu for the rest of the game. I lose two rStormtroopers, but the last guy, while bleeding out with one HP remaining, sprints back into my spawn, losing both Reinforcements simultaneously. (Whoops) My eStormies mow through the surprisingly weak Hunter-Killers and Nexu. After killing a nexu and bringing the cantina objective to the other one outside the spawn with Squad Swarm, I hit 40 points. Lost the snowtroopers for a MoV of 33.
Round 3: Boba (Training Grounds - B)
His list looks like Boba, eHK, rTusken, rWampa, Gideon, C3PO.
I get the outside spawn. I put my red on the Heavy, blue on the eStormies. Totally ignore the door again, rush all fourteen stormtroopers into the clearing, half in the hallways, half near the terminal. He puts most of his units into the terminal room, where I spend the next two (maybe three?) turns blasting away gleefully. The HKs held the red, but everything but Boba and Gideon died almost instantaneously. 40-0.
I ended up taking fourth because I lost the first round. (The guy who beat me ended up taking home the plaque, so whatever.) My roommate (The one running Vader) lost his third round against RGC-Trooperspam and took second, although I know my MoV was higher than his. Whatever, pairings. Ended up with some sweet loot (including two promo eStormtroopers!), so it was a good day.
Well, this was off the idea that somebody would read this and benefit from it, so there it is. If this become the next big netdeck, credit where it's due, alright?
