One of my local stores has just posted to there FB that they have received notification that the Wave 8 Release window will be the last week of March possibly the first week of April?

Makes sense. With store championships running through February and March, releasing a meta-changing wave now would be an interesting decision. Holding it back until champs are over makes sense to me.
Just a bit disheartening! Having been stoked about this release as I'm a huge Rebels fan! My wife Pre-ordered the Ghost & 3 Tie/Adv Prototypes as a Christmas gift when we thought the release was late December!

Hasn't stopped them in the past. It could just be a UK issue.
So that's two UK stores saying late March/April, which implies that's Esdevium's shipping date. US distributors might be earlier than that, but it looks like we're sitting tight until after store championships to get them (there goes my TAP mini-swarm list).

Seems like there was a change of plans from FFG. With the release of articles coming out on a somewhat regular pattern, then nothing- leaving the Jumpmaster dangling. It seemed like they hit the pause button for some reason.

You think FFG is going to base the decision of making huge amounts of money now versus making less money (due to storage and so forth) later on ... Store Championship season?
I very much doubt it.
I would expect later this month.

Been playing since August 2014! Maybe it was naivety on my part? Has there been a previous wave that's taken this long to release?

I hope not, I really want it to drop right before my Store's Championship at the end of the month.
Will really mess with the store's pros' heads.
I don't expect it before March. FFG has set a precedence to release everything a good 2 or 3 months later then their initially proposed release date. I believe they said 4th quarter of 2015 for this one right? haha.
