So tell me about objective cards

I've noticed these three cards, red yellow blue...what are they...how do they work?

.....and what might be the best for three Victory I's running as a carrier build :D

Every fleet list you make has to include one of each of the three colors.

Popular ones for Imperial lists include Contested Outpost, Advanced Gunnery, Hyperspace Assault, Fleet Ambush, Minefields, and there are probably a couple more.

You select one of each color, then whichever player has initiative will have to select one of his opponent's Objective Cards. Every Objective Card gives a pretty nice bonus to the second player (some depend heavily on your list) so the advantage for first player is balanced by the second player getting other benefits through the objective.

With my three VSD I fleet, the yellows and blues are set: Contested outpost and Superior Positions.

Contested Outpost is great for the VSD because you can set them up behind the outpost, collect the victory tokens and let your bombers go to work.

Superior Positions is fantastic for the VSD since they are slow. Having the enemy fleet laid out before you place lets the VSD overcome that. Since I run them with bombers, they get Victory tokens every time they smack an enemy ship aft.

The reds are more precarious. I am currently thinking Precision Strike only lets enemy bomber fleets do their thing, so I may not choose it. Still mulling over the reds...

. . . So. . . This is a loaded question. . .

So much information. . . Test, that's it. Test it out find what works for you,

This game is based off experience and skill so you will need to build both of those up

With the information available for your list, I would recommend :

- Most Wanted (because you don't have large ships to give Advanced Gunnery to, I'm not sure how many Bombers you have to take advantage of Precision Strike, Opening Salvo favours lighter ships). This will allow you to choose which ship is going to be easier to kill for you, and which ship you can defend the best (hint : the middle one)

- Contested Outpose is pretty much a no brainer here : you have 3 medium slow ships with short range, Contested Outpost will give you points for playing them normally

- Minefields because with such a low maneuvrability and speed, you want to reduce their options for flanking you.

Precision Strike does not require any ships.

I play no bomber lists with Precision Strike and still get at least 7 tokens
