"As for the shuttle, we should at least try to find something else. If you're on the run in a stolen shuttle, I'm not sure we want to go on a rescue mission for someone who apparently knows a lot more about us than we do about her."
The Shadows Mark
Naught gestures frustration, "This is not a simple matter to explain. Gand do not have names until they earn one, and this Gand was not awarded one before leaving the Gand. Since other sentients seem to treat names more lightly, this Gand has selected 'Naught' as an acceptable term of reference. But it is not a name. Use 'Gand' or 'Naught' and you need not fear giving offense."
"Thank you, Naught, and I'm sorry for pushing so hard, it's just something about you that makes me feel all... tingly" WW-413 explains and then looks at the other human "I'm sorry if I offended you but I don't have much experience with people that aren't Imperial Military, I am still learning how to work with people."
Kemenril chooses the moment to lower his hood and inquire in soft tones: "We all seem to be overlooking some questions here. Who is this woman? How does she know about us? And what does she mean by 'babysitting'?"
"I guess we will find out when we get there," Dolar said to Kemenril before turning to the WW-413, "I'd like to take the opportunity to travel with you on your ship,"
"That's one vote for the Lambda."
"I am indifferent as to our mode of transport. Count me as a yes."
Larik puts his hands up and a smirk in on his mouth, but not in his eyes.
"Hey, we can do whatever. It just seems a touch odd that we've all been summoned here by someone we don't know and there just happens to be a storm, excuse me, Scout Trooper here with a Lambda, all ready for us to just load onto it and go somewhere mysterious. We're all on edge here, but you'll forgive me for being a bit hesitant."
"I agree," Saladin says, nodding towards Larik. "It would seem we are putting ourselves in danger simply by responding to this message. We should take all precautions possible, should we follow through. I vote to use something else, but if we take the vessel, fine. However, we should act to dispose of it as quickly as possible." Saladin moves for the door. "This place will not remain safe for very long, I think. I will wait on the western edge of town. Find me when we have come to a decision."
"I understand your hesitance and fully accept the fact that you don't want to travel by Lambda, though I know a war nut who has a collection of Imperial gear who is the local ship dealer who has been bugging me for the Lambda, the only small ship he doesn't own that the Empire has made. I think he's got a HWK-290 for us."
"We can also just split up," Dolar suggested. "The whole bunch of us may be too much anyway."
"How about this, I'm guessing we all have some things to do before heading out. Give me a bit of time to see what I can find while people are getting their affairs in order - anybody who wants to join me is welcome so we all know this is on the up and up - and if I can find something else we'll do it. Otherwise we'll go with your contact or your Lambda or whatever. Fair? Anybody hate that idea?"
"No, I don't mind, as long as I can continue talking to Naught here." WW-413 replies.
"My vote is for the HWK-290."Lama says,"We should sell the Lambada Imperial. There could be a tracer on it."
Edited by SHADOWGUARD CHAMPION"Is there room for my speeder bike? I just bought it. It's a pretty sweet bike," he muses. "And somebody has a thingamawatchit out front...you know, big riding beast. Is that one of yours?"
"Maybe we could rent a freighter. Pretend we're carting some stuff. You know, sneaky like. I still have some credi...." he pauses. He doesn't know these people. He lays his hand on his stun club, suspiciously eying the room.
"Before we decide we should search both ships."Lama says.
"What did she mean by 'replace me'? We have to find a babysitter?"
"Larik and the tall one raise good points," Naught says with a slight nod towards Lama. "It is a good idea investigate the available options. It would be good to confirm if this ship on offer can meet needs, and it would be even better to ensure that one easily traceable ship is not being replaced with an equally traceable option. Perhaps a chat with this collector is in order while someone sweeps the shuttle for tracers. As for that Zabrak," Naught shrugs her shoulders, "it would seem that the information that has been given will have to suffice."
"Alright, those who want to go sweep the shuttle mount up on a speeder bike or other mount as it is 5 kilometers in Acklay infested territory."
Edited by killakan"OK, I'd like to meet this collector and check out what he's got. Like I said , anybody who'd like to accompany me is welcome. I won't be much help check in the mechanics department, but I can read people pretty well. Hopefully I'll be able to tell if he's being straight with us."
"Then this Gand, along with a willing mechanic, will accompany Larik to speak with the collector while others may go with WW-413 to assess the shuttle." Naught then pulls a handheld comlink out of one of her sleeves. "This Gand would like to coordinate comlink frequencies in case of trouble."
"Can I get a lift from anyone to the Lambda?" Dolar asked. "It's quite a walk...."
"I got a bad feeling about this Gupgup"
Khit mounts up and is headed off towards the shuttle, she wants to get out of town a asap. She's not sure about this whole thing, a person halfway across the galaxy that seems to believe in make believe mystical powers. That this stranger seems to think Khit has those make believe powers is unnerving. She is also unsure what to make of these people that she has been bought together with, they seem OK, but can she trust them.
"You probably fit up here on Gupy, like you said it's not far"
"I also have room on my speeder, can you shoot?"
