"No!" Wale yells as he sees that just shooting her original attacker did not kill it, and as it shot her with its blaster arm the familiar sound of a Thermal Grenade went off, annihilating the foul thing of everything but it's shield, which was glowing red hot. As the fireworks went off, Naught was attacked, thinking quickly, Wale charged, firing his blaster as he went. Somehow, he managed to hit the offender just before he got to her, pulling one of his emergency stimpacks, he asked "Are you alright? I couldn't stand to lose you, not here in this god forsaken place."
The Shadows Mark
"Thank you, Wale," Naught said, "It is a slight burn, but the gesture is appreciated." She stands up from behind the cover, more shaken mentally than physically. She turns to see Larik and his orange lightsaber. "It would seem the Jedi teachings are more prevalent than this Gand had been led to believe," Naught intoned with a trace of irony in the vocoder's voice, "It is good that such training is still present in the galaxy." She turns to consider the wrecked enemies surrounding them. Still one more wave to go, with who knows what waiting to attack them. "Larik," she continued, "if you are not going to be using that blaster pistol, might this Gand borrow it? This Gand does not think it wise to continue drawing on the force in current circumstances."
A flurry of orange light and an angry hum later, the remaining two cyborgs attacking Larik were no more.
"Of course you can use it Naught," he said. "I'm going to want it back once we're through with this little test, though. I try not to use this unless it's absolutely necessary. I really don't need the attention it brings. None of us do.
"I'll tell you all about how I know what I know once we've got a minute to catch our breath."
After the success with her Stun grenade Khit is confident, she snaps around to the final group, takes her time aiming and then lets rip with a hail of slugs. it rains down upon the group, one taking a shot straight to the head, the others being peppered with shots, 2 more go down. The third barely reacts though, still intent on causing harm.
Edited by Richardbuxton"Of course," Gand replies to Larik, and walks over to pick up the blaster. She handles it gingerly, clearly inexperienced with blasters, but she finds the safeties well enough. She calls to Khit, "This Gand is ready to get this over with."
After the one of the last cyborgs attacks Lama its husk/weapon strikes his armour, and promptly disintegrates. Lama grins and brings up his lightwhip to the cyborg's chest, and activates it. Killing the cyborg. He watches it crumple to the ground and writhe in pain until it dies.
Naught looks around with trepidation as the dust settles from the latest wave. "This Gand is still feeling the effects of that last hit, but we had best get this test over with. This Gand does not like the effect this rite is having on us," she said, looking over at Lama.
"What do you mean?"Lama inquires.
Edited by SHADOWGUARD CHAMPION"This test is encouraging an unsettling level of aggression, and this Gand can see that feeling within herself reflected in all of our actions." Naught looked to each of her comrades in turn, "it feels as though we are being molded to fit this world, which this Gand finds worrisome."
Khit hears the Gand speak and knows in herself that this is the truth, the haste at which these combat have been, the efficiency of her own actions and those of her friends. But they have no choice right now, they need to get through and there is still one more wave to come "Everyone ready? Good, Lets finish this!" and she hits the button hopefully for the final time.

Edited by RichardbuxtonIn the span of a few seconds the group goes from confusion to awe to creating a plan for dealing with the behemoth that's risen from the ground.
Larik puts his hands on Naught's shoulders and bends down a bit so they are eye to eye.
"Promise me you'll return my lightsaber to family if I don't make it," he says, just loud enough for her to hear him. "Please. I can't let them wonder."
Before she can answer he lets go and breaks for the edge of the arena, carefully running between bits of rubble and the strewn bodies of long-dead warriors who didn't survive the brutality of the Krogan's rite of passage. Over his shoulder he shouts back to the group, smiling.
"Come on Lama," he says. "Looks like it's far enough way for us to seriously regret some of our life choices before we get there!"
Edited by sonovabith"Let's do this. On a side note, I should really get jet engines installed, or a jetpack on my armor."Lama replies.(OOC: Lama will copy Larik's action set.)
Naught watches in awe as the worm twists around, reeling under the fire from Wale's cannon, ponderously twisting to shoot acid at, and thankfully miss, Larik. Seeing the deliberate way it moves, and hearing its piercing shrieks, Naught has a sudden flash of intuition. Sprinting forward, she shouts, "This Gand may have another option, but must be closer! Keep it busy!"
Khit follows the others, getting closer to this monstrous beast. This was going to be a fight beyond any she had experienced before, everyone would be pushed to their limits and possibly beyond.
As she is running the blast of fire from Wale and the blaster make her flinch, "Gee that things loud"... then the bolts of energy hit the giant beast and it writhes in pain. Rearing back it crashes to the ground sending out a shockwave that rattles Khits teeth and knocks a couple of columns to the ground. But the worst is yet to come, behind her Khit hears a thud and she turns to see the cannon has collapsed on top of Wale. "Help!!!! Get here now everyone, Wales in trouble."
Khit turns and races to the trapped human, not sure if she has the strength to shift such a massive thing, but driven to try.
"Well, that's embarrassing, I forgot to set the recoil mechanisms, the cannon flipped, you, with the Lightsaber, could you try cutting some of the crap around me away?" Wale yells, too embarrassed to panic.
Khit grasps hold of the barrel of the turret, Naught and Larik either side of her. She begins to lift, and in her adrenalin fuelled state she reaches for the force instinctively and uses its calming aura to enhance her strength. Together they heft the giant gun off of the trapped human and it lands with a crash breaking into even smaller pieces... "Hey, that there would make a nice Lightsaber hilt!"
"What's that under it?" Wale asks, picking up a small, finger sized generator, the word Stygium printed on it's side, "looks like a Styguim Generator, not big enough to disguise a person, but with these parts I collected earlier..." he fiddles around with the scraps he collected and ends up with a saber hilt with two emitters wrapped around the generator and extra long, he hits a switch and the hilt vanishes, he presses it again and it comes back, "Nice, now I need a crystal. Hey Larik, can I borrow your lightsaber, I got a gut feeling!!!"
Edited by killakanLarik eyes Wale warily. He's not exactly thrilled with the idea of handing over his family weapon, but he's got little reason to doubt Wale at this point.
"Sure. Just don't do anything to damage it. I would really, really not be happy about that."

"You have my word, you can hurt me if I damage it, I just need it to make the initial cut, that hide is as tough as a Rancor's"
"Hey, Wale cut right here, here, and here." Lama say, as he marks off a triangle."This should give us enough room to get in their, and search it. Wothout covering us in guts. Nice hilt thing-y by the way. Lama says as he sees Wale's hilt. (OOC: Can I see if there's any of it left?)
"OK then, let's look in this things guts for stuff, and Larik, here's your saber back," Wale says as he hands the powerful tool back to it's owner.
Larik inspects his saber's hilt and makes a face when he discovers a bit of viscera smeared on it.
He shakes his head and wipes it off with a piece of cloth he rips from a fallen warrior's clothes.
"You guys find anything," he asks, polishing the black chrome.
Seeing what his compatriots are going for, namely more or upgraded lightsaber parts, Larik decides he'd like a look too.
Rooting through the giant worm's guts he doesn't find anything to improve his saber, but he does quite unexpectedly find a live, but unconscious Krogan in the beast's gullet.
"Hey! Somebody give me a hand! We've got a Krogan in here and I'm pretty sure we can still save him!"
