"Its Wale and yes, we are there." Wale explains as he moves vines to open up a clearing with his Lambda parked next to what has to be the largest tree on the planet. Next to the tree is an Acklay sitting peacefully and adorned with a variety of native flowers and next to that is a younger and more playful one who runs to Wale and licks him like an overactive puppy.

Lalam instinctively reaches for his blaster, but remembers Wale's words and watches in fascination.

"Can we put the bikes on your shuttle?" he asks.

"Oh dear" Khit mutters to Gup. She gives the shuttle a cursory glance, enough to see if its in one piece. Then ties Gupgup to a tree and turns her attention to the Acklay. She approaches the mother slowly "Hello"

A voice of a whispering woman enters your head, "Hello, little one. What is your business with the Chosen One of Vendaxa? Why has he led you to the Sanctuary? Has he brought you here on his mission?" it asks as the larger Acklay approaches "Are you here to learn the ways of the Living Force?"

"Hmm, the Force is a mystery to me. I came here after a vision of sorts, suggesting to me that perhaps you may have knowledge i could benefit from. But first i would hear stories of the one who is to teach me. Forgive me for being surprised to be speaking with one such as yourself, I am more accustomed to watching your brethren from a distance. Tell us, how did you come to be here in this place, and what is to be known of this Chosen One?"

"He is the one to bring together the Dark Lord and the Last Jedi and bring true balance to the Force and they shall bring Order to the Galaxy."

"Oh, thats... Big. So this chosen one is kinda important then?"

"And so are you, Protector, so are all of you. That is why you must be trained."

"So when does our training start? Another Sentient has revealed an extensive knowledge of us and made an offer to help us, but if you're to train us we will need to be in two places at once. What advice would you give." Khit is aware this Acklay never told the story of herself but is willing to wait for another day to hear that. She is starting to pay a little more attention to the shuttle too, is it operational? Or are we bush mechanics for now?

"Your training starts now, form a bond with my son, and I can talk to you through him. Go, embrace him, feel his spirit, an emphatic link will form, he will only listen to the Chosen One, but he will not attack you. Rather, he shall love you like he loves his mother. You may talk to me through him, and you have much to learn."

Lama comes out of the forge saying " Finally I got some spikes on my armor, but any ways how are things going with the acklay?"

Through the open comm channel Larik can hear Khit talking to someone, but for some reason can't hear the other side of the conversation.

"Lalam, Wale, who is she talking to? What's this chosen one stuff she's talking about? We should really regroup as soon as possible. What's your ETA?"

"I...I'm hearing voices! But nobody's lips are flapping. This is...uncannish," says Lalam, wide-eyed. "There's an Acklay here, seems to be Wale's. Looks tame, I guess, but ... pretty big." He puts his speeder into the shuttle and waits to go.

Khit prepares Gupgup and loads him up into the back of the shuttle, eying all the blaster marks and damage form the rough landing wondering to herself if this thing is even able to get off the ground.

To Lalam as the Acklay turns to face him;

I see you do not understand the nature of your being, I shall explain. (Begins long rant on the nature of the Force and how he is connected to it via the nature of his spirit without using the word "Force" at all)

Lalam gazes into the eyes of the Acklay, gulping in trepidation. Wale said not to get angry, but it's hard not to. He feels somewhat hypnotized, like a mouse by the eyes of a snake. However, as the Acklay explains, his face grows unusually thoughtful, an expression he rarely exhibits. "Wait," he muses, "are you saying I can control my luck? I wanna know more!"

"Well your 'luck', as you call it, is your influence on the energy field that surrounds and penetrates us all, that energy field is known as the Force. If you wish to learn more during your travels, form a bond with my son, and I can talk to you through him. Go, embrace him, feel his spirit, an emphatic link will form, he will only listen to the Chosen One, but he will not attack you. Rather, he shall love you like he loves his mother. You may talk to me through him, and you have much to learn."

A short time after hearing some of his new companions seemingly talking to themselves over the comm, Larik was relieved to hear the distinctive drone of a Lambda shuttle approaching. The scenario was odd enough that the Zabrak who'd iniitially been with them decided to forge his own path elsewhere, leaving the trio of Larik, Naught and Lama behind to finalize details on the ship exchange with the shopkeeper.

He did his best to maintain his composure, but the sight of the rest of the group escorting an Acklay down the boarding ramp was troubling. Troubling, that is, until he felt a sense of peace and calm gently envelop him. Immediately he understood. His parents always told him the Force is mysterious and he had to agree after realizing this creature was to be his new mentor.

"Welcome back," he said. "I know we said we'd wait until you got back to decide, but Lama got terribly excited about his new toy and already installed it onboard. Plus, now we've got three ships instead of one. Which means I guess now might be a good time to figure out who can fly.

"Anyone?"

"Well, I can ride speeder bikes and fly airspeeders, it can't be that much harder can it? At least I can probably copilot"

"OK, I'm putting Khit down as a very enthusiastic maybe. Anyone else? Lalam, you look pretty confident on that swoop, how about you?"

Whilst Khit has the reflexes to be a competent pilot, she has never stood in the cockpit of one, and actually only been off world a handful of times. She Is eager to impress this Acklay and letting it get the better of her. On the inside she is extremely nervous.

Umm, Lalam left, but I also can fly airspeeders and Speeder bikes.

"This Gand can pilot in a pinch, but is not particularly apt. It would be better to let someone else fly for now." Naught tentatively approaches the Acklay, "So this is the one willing to be a conduit for knowledge. Arkady, yes?"

"Wow, that must have been a dangerous mission to the shuttle. We've lost a lot of compatriots already and we haven't even left the planet yet. Lama, can you fly?"

Yeah, sure if needed. But I'm not the the best. I am good, but not great.
