Poe Dameron - R5-P9+VI+AT

Lt. Blount - Decoy+Adv. Homing Missle

First off, possible changes;

Change PtL BB8 and AT to Outmaneuver R2 Astro and/or IA

Change Adv. Homing Missles for the Ion one

Poe is pretty firmly built, your standard Poe build.

Ello has the possibility of the changes; PtL BB8 gives me White Talon Rolls when I need them and BB8 Three action maneuverability or R2 Astro and Outmaneuver for flanking reasons.

Blount is there to get lucky and Decoy to PS 10 from Poe to pop a SD or one hit a phantom with a crit(heheh) or getting the extra range with the ion and knowing their next movement, mostly psychological here.

Another possibility is changing out Ello for Red Ace - R2-D2+AI+Comms Relay for a Tanky type of T-70 and Blount for a named A Wing, Stress hog, or another suggestion from you guys.

Looks good! Only thing I would consider is swapping decoy for deadeye on Blount, and R5-P9 for R2-D2 on Poe.

I'd say keep the R5 as R2 limits choices for manoeuvring and Poe likes keeping his focus.

Hey, it's really up to you. However, guaranteed regen via R2-D2 is better. There's many things that can mess up R5-P9's regen ability. Stress and token stealing/ stripping off the top of my head. Don't just take my word for it, the three-time world champ thinks so too.

Yeah, he got to the final running BOTH regen droids. If you have to decide between the two, I would suggest the better one, R2-D2. As I said, the reason is because all I have to do is select a green maneuver. R5-P9 can be disrupted by the opponent or through natural stress mechanics.

Good talk about Poe and his mech, I'll definitely have to play games with both to see which one does better on him with him. I'll also look into Deadeye for Blount too because it'll be easier to get off a shot against any ship in front of him as opposed to a higher PS enemy ship getting my TL then moving out of my range 2 arc.

I played a tournament yesterday with a dozen Poe builds. With the exception of 1 BB-8, every Poe was running R5

How many of them were paired with red ace?

I ran Poe and Ello yesterday with a stress Y. Poe had R5-P9 and Ello ran R2-D2. I liked the build and it could easily go either way in terms of droids, but was able to net a really good finish though with R5 on Poe.

So what's the recommended droid on Ello? My thought was BB8 with PtL now for more maneuverability when not t rolling plus the action economy out of it. Or is R2D2 the thing now for regen?

I put R2 on for regen purposes. I could see BB8 and PTL being awesome, but with Talon roll I was able to really just do whatever I needed in the moves department so I went to regen build instead.
