Thoughts?

If you can manage those squadrons then I think this is a very solid list.

It's a shame you can't find the points for Expanded Launchers on the MC-30, but beyond that, it's punchy.

I am guessing the plan with the squadrons is park and bump, using commands if needed?

Why would I want Expanded Launchers? Sure the double arc is nice but I like APT's for Precision Strike. Getting up to 60 points an activation is HUGE!

I have flown both variants and even with the Scout you are going to get one black dice shot in and then you will have to burn out of there.

If your target lives and and hasn't activated you will be in serious trouble. If you don't have first activation in the next turn, you are in serious trouble. The black dice on an MC-30 will get you one good double arc a game, the thing looks like it can maneuver, but it won't survive being in close. If your opponent has Xi-7's you really are in trouble on that return shot at close range.

Just my experience in several games with and against the MC-30.

What are the B's for? Jan and two YT's arent going to stop their fighters, so what ships do you envisage the B's shooting at?

You would be surprised on the capacity of the YT-1300's and Jan. The B-Wings are pinch hitters. They can help in the engagements, the can go take on ships thanks to the Intel, they are versatile. I just use squadrons differently from others

I love using my yt-1300s with Jan. I usually run 3 of them with Jan. People underestimate their ability to keep enemy squadrons from doing anything. If I'm running bombers they're safe...for a really long time. If I'm only running YTs and Jan as anti squadron then my ships will most likely not be attacked by a single squadron, maybe one or two get through but most of the time the enemy bombers are tied up and useless. On top of having 7 health (21 with all 3) they have escort and counter 1. They really are amazing when used properly.

I completely agree that enemy bombers wont get to the B's, but fighters who often have dengar will.

That is perfectly fine as well. If they Intel past I can Wing Commander and since I keep squadrons at a good range to react even with their speed, good things occur.

But even then YT's keep bombers off your ships (not really worried about bombers attacking your squadrons?) and if your enemy had Dengar their squadrons would still be engaged. All they could do is move and attack a ship and if they're fighters they won't be doing all that much.

Even facing down a Rhymerball many people don't just ignore my squadrons. This is due to them sticking around the ship I think will be hit and that ship provides AA support so the enemy squadrons can't afford to stick around too long. This with fast ships and even squadrons will have issues keeping up.
