I have little self-control...

A guy stopped playing x wing because he joined the army and stopped wargaming. I purchased some of his minis... Now I own 24 Tie Fighters. I do not need them but they look AMAZING in the Shelves. If we choose to "forget" ship limits now I can play 300 pts of basic Ties... with my own models. Jijiji... Juajuajua.

Only 6 euros per model, 6 Ties, 2 Interceptors, 2 Advanced, irresistible force vs weak willpower

zerg TIE rush!

I shall take on those TIEs with my 7 Poe swarm with PTL, R2-D2, and shield upgrade, if we want to throw the unique card rule out and say their clones.

24 ties? So two full squadrons? If you pick up 4 Lambdas I believe that's the compliment of an Interdictor/Immobilizer 418.

24 TIEs will look nicely on a fleet of 12 Gozantis (making for 48 TIEs total).

A convoy of 12 Gozantis, escorted by a Raider or 2 and a few Decimators, a wing of TIE Advanceds and you have the beginning of something utterly awesome.

Only two Lambdas and no more, I think. Large Ships are great but in limited numbers. The idea of displaying the 72 small ships complement is a posibility, 36 Tie Fighters, 12 Recon / Target Adquisition Tie, 12 Interceptors, 12 Bombers... One year ago it was a stupid idea, now only a bad idea...

But ordering a custom made 6 feet long ISD is beyond my wallet power, but perhaps this week lotto gods will touch me...

Perhaps the sentinel class shuttle or stormtrooper landing craft will come out in the next wave, and you can interpret "4 shuttles" as "four personnel transport support craft of varying types".

If you get up to 72 small ships I think it's time to magnetise the bases, imbed steel washers in your ceiling (which youve painted like a star field) and store them stuck to the ceiling of your gaming room.

Or build a recessed table and paint the inside like the hangar of an ISD.

Of perhaps have a scale replica of an isd suspended above the table with a lighting rig on the underside, and all the ties hung on racks in the hanger?

Wonderful ideas. One of my wet dreams is to represent in a Huge diorama a Battle of Endor full small base craft conplement of a ISD, 72 according to old West End Sourcebooks. I can not imagine the work and time involved in building a six feet ISD in full detail...

Someone once mentioned an 11 foot star destroyer the got used at a convention recently but nobody has pictures or videos. I'd love to see that thing.

Wargaming in the military is lightly populated, should have kept them.

PICTURE PLEASE :D

Just don't do it at TIE Fighter scale... at 1/270 the Star Destroyer is 19 feet long by almost 12 feet wide... and that's not the big one... just a regular one.

That should fit in my living room. I don't think my wife will agree to it though, much as she loves Star Wars.
