If you don't spend the Accuracy in the "Spend Accuracy" step right before the "Defender spends Defense Tokens" then it does nothing unless it is a Blue Accuracy with SW-7's. Then it can be damage.

Then let me specify further.

We're at Medium Range and I have Mon Mothma .

That is the one time that it has any effect.

You have SW7 Ions.

You roll ACC, ACC, HIT.

You spend 1 ACC to Remove my Brace.

Then I have a chance to remove a die due to my Mon Mothma Evade at Medium Range.

Boom. I remove your Second ACC. Of course, its exactly the same if I remove your Hit. But its still technically correct.
