Happy Friday! I hate when this gets bumped to Page 2.

I said screw practicing for Store Championships and I played what I wanted to. I finally got to bust out the Raider for campaign it comes with. I'd played with the Raider once before, but want to do the missions. I also want other people to play with the Epics in the small matches so that they can learn the Epic rules. I want to do more Epic games and scenarios, but more people need to know the rules. It's not hard to convince someone to try out one of the big ships.

I grabbed a guy who isn't into competitive play and we ran the first mission. He came in fast with the Raider while I fired a whole lot of Torpedoes at a Tie Advanced. My dice sucked!!!!!!! My opponent made the mistake of continuing fast with the Raider and didn't have a shot as I did a lot of turns. I chased down the wounded Tie Advanced and managed to FINALLY kill it. I lost an X-wing and Y-wing, but his last Tie Advanced landed on a rock and I managed to kill it. After that, the Raider couldn't turn around and actually flew off the board! Win goes to the Rebels!

My friend left and another took over for him. Ambush the Rebels in an ion storm, complete with random ionizations everywhere. I took 2 X-wings, B-wing, Gemmer A-wing, and my first time using a K-wing to cripple one section of Raider. He also had one Advanced w/ Clusters and 2 Tie Bombers loaded out. Plasma Torps melted the B-wing's shields. Ion Battery then ionized him. Cluster missiles killed him, but officially crippled so he could be captured due to mission rules. The Imperials kept getting ionized by random and I was happy. I move in and hit the front shields hard to take them down. Random ionize and my K-wing is hit! It floats into the Raider and dies. An X-wing is also trapped by Raider and rams him by accident. I blast the Raider's front hull down to half. Another random ionize and my X-wing rams the Raider! It's my A-wing that is trying to ensure that his shields don't get raised back up. Finally, I get random Ionize from the storm and his shields are back up. I keep trying, but eventually am ionized randomly off the board. Bah! Fun game, and I thought I had him....until ionized at all the worst times!

Want to do all the missions for all the Epic ships and then we will start the Heroes of Aturi Cluster campaign. Man, I want to do a podcast for NON-competitive play as all the other ones out there are just too focused on competitive. I just need to convince the others....
