That's a good point that I had completely forgotten about (I needs more coffee). In that case I'll flip the DP and go for it, as I think we really need to get on top of this situation fast.
The Shadows Mark OOC
I changed my mind slightly, I'm going to call each group a silhouette 2 object, doesn't effect your outcome due to your strength upgrades, but it makes more sense.
Ok so 7 success = 27 damage to both groups through activating strength and magnitude, how far do you want to throw them? I'll decide on the threat after you have chosen a range.
For future that check should probably have been upgraded since your attacking a target engaged with an ally, but don't worry this time.
And Lalam has a turn, as well as his 2 new Krogan buddies, I posted stats for them on the previous page of the OOC.
I hope I have this right. The Krogan Rivals don't have time to bring their weapons to bear, so they punch and kick: PPABCD (B for aiming, and upgraded because we're all in the same melee):
Krogan 1:
Krogan buddies : 2eP+1eA+1eB+1eC+1eD 1 success, 2 advantage, 1 Triumph
I think that's 4 damage, a Triumph to crit a kitty, and 2A to push one in Lalam's direction.
Krogan 2:
Krogan buddies 2 : 2eP+1eA+1eB+1eC+1eD 1 failure, 2 advantage
Sorry, lot of edits last post
We're stuck in close quarters, right? I wasn't planning on changing the range of the kitties, just shoving them into each other, or a wall, or the floor, etc.
Fine with me. 1 DP, 1 Strain and 1 Conflict. The threat will be a free Maneuver for them to disengage after Lalam has whaled on them
If you were waiting for me, Lalam has completed his whaling...
So it's back to the kitties, yeah? Please remember one group has to upgrade their attack difficulty this round.
I've got some time this morning, so I'll IC the entire first round of fighting from Larik's perspective.
Edited by sonovabithSorry guys, I've had a rough couple of days with little sleep and sick kids, I have time now though to work out if any are left standing!
The last 4 Kitties withdraw into the night.
Sorry I didn't get an IC posted yet. I usually have a fair amount of down time at my job to do such things, but today was not one of those days.
I posted one from Lalam's POV. I think Lalam is bleeding, and wouldn't mind some medical attention.
So do you think Lalam's anger is getting the better of him here?
"I got a claw of my own right here!" Lalam yells as he draws his knife. A feline jumps in his direction and he disembowels it on the spot. The others seem to have had enough, and flee into the night. Only the fading yowls of the insultedly injured feline mark their progress.
Perhaps a conflict or 2?
Ill admit I find passing out conflict uncomfortable as i'm never sure if an action not directly tied to a rule is deserving of it or not
I'm fine with it, however, in this case his dialogue is mostly bravado, and with these felines it's clearly a life and death situation (hence the knife). Conflict-inspired anger was definitely a factor during the previous fight against the Krogan thugs, but I wouldn't say this fight lasted long enough to generate that kind of emotion. That said, he *is* Force Sensitive, and I figure the Conflict is the mechanic that reflects his greater susceptibility to emotional currents.
(...and all that said, I'm only saying I'm fine with it because I'm trying to toe the F&D-core line. Personally I'd run Morality differently, but that's irrelevant since I'm not GMing...)
I'm not sure where to put Conflict, since the character is an EotE character. For now I'm tracking it in the "Background" section. I believe with the 2 points here that's a total of 4 so far?
yep, that would be right. Im still feeling my way with morality myself, I think the RAW way isn't simple due to so much being based on interpretation, which it needs to be. But its subjective to every persons opinions which complicates it somewhat. but this campaign is cool since everyone has an idea of what they want the challenges to be for their PC and plays to that well.
Should I make a Perception check?
Yeah that sounds good, Average with 1 Setback DDS
Adding the Boost from Uncanny Senses
No, you actually do see that a couple of officers are in the transport, through the windows you see a squad of troopers, a rugged officer in the drivers seat and another very well manicured officer riding shotgun. Your failure is it takes too long to for you to realise this information an you miss the opportunity to act.
Ok I'm back after a couple of rough days, the scene is set for the Imperials to met most of the crew on the road. Meanwhile Queg has a great vantage point for observing the Imperials and taking the battle to them.
Would you like us to get the meeting started IC? Is there a certain number of Imperials we'll encounter?
I figure we're going to hit the road after taking a little rest from repelling the kitties, which should put us near Queg's spot by sun up.
Is there a doctor in the house?
Oh yeah. Perhaps Naught could patch up Lalam a bit. How would the clock work on using a stim pack in this situation? I've got a couple you can use if you need them.
Yea just a little talk about getting back on the road
