I'll get an IC up in a couple hours this morning.
The Shadows Mark OOC
So after those checks its 10am
Queg has about 10hrs of walking ahead of him
Lalam, Larik, Naught and 12 Krogans are now traveling together but have around 14hrs of straight driving to get to the ISD, assuming they don't stop along the way.
Out of interest how do you think you have disguised the truck? Is this a camo operation? or did you fill it with junk and are pretending to be scavengers and traders with most of the Krogan hidden in the back?
once whafrog has described Lalams slow ride through the howling wind and rain ill set up the next bit of the story
Edited by RichardbuxtonI thought there was some discussion as going in as traders. That seems reasonable.
Nice whafrog, " But still, he can't help but think somebody just made it that way for a laugh" gave me a laugh!
Queg has some leg work ahead of him, shall we go with Athletics as he tries to cover the ground as quick as possible? Stealth to keep on the quiet side of things? Resilience to not suffer too much from the weather? or break the next 10hrs up a bit and do things differently the closer you get to the ISD? Ill give you difficulties based on what your plan is.
Everyone else is now together with a long way to go even if you drive the whole way.
The Skulduggery result still stand, but one more Navigation and Perception needs to be done: DCSSSS Survival for navigation (its getting a bit harder now your further from their homes), DCSSS for Perception.
you will need to decide how far you want to drive too, all the way is fine, but some quick talking may be necessary.
Nav and Perception by each of us, or one each for the group?
One of each for the group, Krogans can help of course, combined checks can be used too if thats good for one of them.
Just give me the difficulties for the way you said it lol
Queg:
Resilience first for the next 10hrs of trudging through mud, sleet, rubble and all the while keeping an eye out for threats. CCSSS... Did I mention it's cold, raining, windy and you didn't sleep very well? It feels like this planet is trying to grind you into the mud.
Athletics if you want to push hard and get there as fast as possible DSSS, this weather is slowing you down.
Stealth to get within striking distance without notice DCSBB, they are observant, but this weather is actually in your favour for once
Athletics is not required, the other two are, assuming you actually want to be stealthy
Should we do the same checks as last time? Let the Krogan do the nav check, and Larik can do perception with boosts from Lalam and Naught?
EDIT: It looks like Lalam and Larik have the same perception, so if Whafrog wants to make the roll that's totally cool. Doesn't matter to me either way.
Edited by sonovabithYep same checks as last time. Anyone on bikes will need to make Resilience checks as well, you all slept better than Queg so DDSSS, unless you decide to take your time stopping regularly to warm up in the truck. Good environmental gear will remove 2 of those setback off as well.
Would smugglers trench coat qualify?
Not really, it's big sure, but not designed for keeping out the wind rain and cold.
I just love the dice pool descriptions we keep coming up with!
Ok so it takes you 10hrs, making it past 8 when you get close enough to see what's happening around the base of the ISD, it's a rough trip, your exhausted, cold and drained, but you have a goal. No one has seen you either, you're sure of it. You can even use those 3 Advantage to have a nice sheltered lookout spot. You suffer 2 Wounds and 2 Strain due to the cold trip, the 2 Threat from resilience will effect your next Skill check with 1 Setback, as you recover slowly. That threat on the Athletics will inflict 1 further strain.
IC your trip then in the morning I'll write up what you see
Despair? we will work that out in the morning too.
Edited by RichardbuxtonI'll have to come up with something while I'm at work today XD
I have an idea for your perfect spot to be compromised in some way, I don't want to negate your advantage through doing something but having some kind of complication is the idea, perhaps a resident, perhaps something else. But I'm open to ideas, I thought of damage to your gun, but I didn't want that considering what I suspect you're about to do.
Edit: never mind. Larik doesn't have field goggles. Too many characters!
Resilience check
Lalam has memories, and sings off key: "Ooooh...I pine for the deserts of Sriluur, where the maidens are warmer for sure! We wrestle on sand, your **** in my hand, oh come now, don't look so demure!"
Homesick : 1eP+2eA+2eD+3eS 3 successes, 3 threat
If Lalam wants to make the perception check, he can take a boost from Larik, the second Krogan group and, I'd assume Naught.

Maybe he's singing too loud...
Okay, here's that resilience check:
Yep Naught has recovered and unaffected by the weather.
Lalam is happily singing, so happy he fails to notice the water getting into his blaster pistol holster, immersing the pistol. This causes the gas charge inside to short out, the weapon needs drying and a reload to be functional again.
Larik is not quite having as much fun, he suffers 3 Strain from the miserable weather and is so cold he suffers a setback to his next check. It doesn't help that the Krogan can't find their way.
It takes an extra 3 hours to cover the ground, making it a 17hr trip from 10am... If you don't stop you will arrive at 3am, depending on that perception roll you may find a nice spot to stop for the night if that sounds better than arriving at 3am
Well we should probably get the perception check out of the way. Flipping a DP since my odds are worse with the added setback.
Looking for trouble : 1eA+2eP+3eB+1eD+1eC+4eS 4 successes, 2 advantage
OK, much better. Going to use the advantage to reduce some strain.
I simply must know what 4 letter word got censoredLalam has memories, and sings off key: "Ooooh...I pine for the deserts of Sriluur, where the maidens are warmer for sure! We wrestle on sand, your **** in my hand, oh come now, don't look so demure!"

It was self-censored, I wasn't sure what "parts" a Weequay would be interested in...
