The Shadows Mark OOC

Okay, I'll update the IC

So top of the round. But I think that is a good place to end this encounter and the next is starting immediately. But everyone can recover strain using Discipline or Cool.

Difficulty for gunning it? XD

Hmm good question, this truck is rather slow, I hadn't intended it as the vehicle you would be in, rather the one you would chase :P I had planned it to be a speed 1!

But this is most definitely going to be a chase scene so speed isn't always the best way to escape. Piloting is going to be DCS for its size speed and handling.

Is everyone happy keeping the previous initiative? I doubt it would change much. There is another NPC I need to roll for the driver of the new land speeder, I'll do that now while your sorting strain and driver choices.

okie dokie

Pedal to the metal! Sortof... : 5eA+1eD+1eC+1eS 5 successes, 3 advantage
Boom. Nailed it
Any difficulty to regain strain?

Easy I think, this isn't exactly a simple time to take a break... Unless your a Gand!

Initiative for Krogan driver : 2eA 3 successes, 1 advantage

I'll add it into the track

Recovering brain strain : 2eA+1eD 1 success

And Rapid Recovery lets him regain 1 additional strain

So what does 5 success and 3 advantage get you in a chase?

Is there anything I can do to help Naught back on her feet In lieu of recovering my own strain?

Well, the successes don't do anything unless I'm making maneuvers, but I can use the 3 advantage to ignore terrain penalties until the end of my next turn

Looking at Pg. 241 EOTE CRB, it talks about both pilots making piloting checks and comparing total successes to see if the pursuer closes the distance or if the pursued gains ground.

Hmm, interesting idea. Inspiring rhetoric is an average leadership, perhaps the same check but it only affects Naught. With setback for being in a truck and her being in shell shock

I had better make a piloting check then!

Oh yeah. Queg pulls ahead...somehow >.>;

So you duck around the corner and move steadily along, the Krogan can't stop in time to make the turn and has to back up to do a three point turn to make it, loosing ground. The range is now Medium between you and them.

I do have one rank in Piloting (Planetary), can I do a "skilled assist" at some point and give Queg an upgrade next round? "Turn left! No, the other left!"

Skilled assistance is supposed to be an out of combat only thing. But normal Assist is fine. It's 1 am and I'm going to have to try to get to sleep, so see you guys later.

One thing you do notice in the rear view mirror just before you round the corner is there are some Krogans climbing aboard your speeder bikes getting ready to give chase!

For clarification is that one setback for her being in shell shock and another for being in the back of the truck, or one covering both environmental situations? So DDS or DDSS?

Alright, so am I understanding correctly that Naught can make a simple check to recover strain, or should I also treat it as easy difficulty? Also, did we close the rear doors of the truck, or are those hanging open, potentially exposing us to attacks from our pursuers?

DDSS for Lariks leadership check

Easy check to recover strain for Naught

Truck is open as far as I know. May want to do something about that.

Oof my head : 1eA+3eP+1eD 5 successes, 1 Triumph

Well that's some heroic recovery (though not quite enough to get Naught below her strain threshold). Can I spend that Triumph to boost/reduce setback on Larik's Inspiring Rhetoric check as things snap into focus for a moment?
