The Shadows Mark OOC

Correct whafrog, but only one of you can act, so between you and Kaigen

I'm okay with having Lalam take the initiative slot before the NPCs, since the stuff Naught would be doing at this point is kind of flirting close to metagaming.

Im only on because I can't sleep. I'll volunteer to take the final initiative slot this round, though

And to think I'd just typed "Go ahead Kaigen"... :)

Okay Brawn is still boosted, 1 maneuver to engage, 1 to Aim, Quick Draw to unleash his stun club and...what is the defense?

Edited by whafrog

Defence 1, so DDS for dice pool

Okay, solid hit, but ...

Crunch some minions : 2eP+2eA+1eB+2eD+1eS 3 successes, 2 threat

So that's 10 damage (4 Brawn, 3 club, 3 successes)

Ok they soak 4, a solid whack over the head for one of them, but no one falls down

Threat reduces your defence by 1, if that's ok?

Fear check for minions:

Fear check engaging Lalam : 3eA+1eD 2 successes, 1 threat

a-s.png a-s.png a-a.png d-th-th.png

They take a setback on the attack due to hesitation.

Brawl check on Lalam : 2eP+1eA+1eB+2eD+1eS 0 successes, 2 advantage

p-s.png p-a-a.png a-s.png b-a.png d--.png d-f-f.png s-th.png

They miss, but 3 advantage due to the Coordinated Assault. That's upgrading your next check.

The other guys shooting Naught. Do you want to flip a DP to upgrade the check Kaigen?

Sounds good, thanks. Just in case it's not obvious, this group doesn't need to fear check again...I will post IC

Sure, I should probably take any help I can get.

Ok Naught got of lightly:

Stun rifles on Naught : 3eP+1eC+1eS 2 successes, 2 advantage

p-s.png p-a-a.png p-s-a.png c-th.png s--.png

So 11 stun damage before soak. The Advantage is it puts Naught off guard, the exploded grenade followed by blaster fire is off putting, take a setback to your next check.

Now I have to go offline for a while, sorry guys.

Naught and Qheg are up next to finish off the round.

Alright, time to break off Move. In the interests of still trying to find a less bloody resolution, do are any of the Krogan currently shooting at Naught carrying visible stun grenades, and could she use Move to activate them at range (she has the control upgrade that allows for fine manipulation of objects)? If not, she will have to select a suitably large piece (or pieces) of rubble and throw it at them.

Edit: While I'm thinking about it, how much do you want me to commit to before rolling when using Move? Do I need to declare number and size of objects as well as targets before rolling, or can I elect to move smaller objects or one instead of several once I see what the force roll looks like?

Sure you can have a go at activating their stun grenades. It will need some kind of opposed check though, I think your Discipline vs their Coordination of AAA, treat it like a combat check so add a setback for their defence (DDDS). Then uses success and advantage to calculate damage and trigger blast. Does that sound ok? You won't need anything but the base power to make it work since its small, close and you only need to trigger one. I guess you could use the Autofire rules and a Magnitude upgrade to attempt more than one grenade, but I'll leave that up to you.

Okay, so if I wanted to try to activate multiple grenades, I would increase the check to DDDDS (and I have an extra setback from their attack, right?). Would I need to spend advantages on the Discipline check in addition to the extra force point for Magnitude? I think in any event I'd better stick to activating just one.

Dishonorable Stun Grenade : 1eA+3eP+3eD+2eS+3eF 3 successes, 1 threat, 3 Dark Side

I'll flip a DP and suffer a Conflict and Strain to use one of the dark side pips. That's 11 strain damage to the leader (pre-soak) and no Blast. How do want to apply the threat?

It's not my turn, but I'd like to point out we've got this perfectly functional speeder truck right here and half of the party is already close enough to hop in...

EDIT: Wait, I forgot Queg shot it, so I guess my question is did he cause it to not be functional or did he just get their attention by shooting it?

What's my difficulty (including Disorient) to shoot at the group that just shot at Naught?

They're at short range and appear to have defense 1, so assuming there aren't any other factors and there's no DP upgrade, it should be DSS.

Nevermind.

I think I only did 1 HT damage to the truck

Queg might need to back up to shoot at them then, his weapon is technically scoped...

I don't think this system is granular enough to worry about a "no-scoping" penalty, but Richardbuxton might have a different view.

Yeah, RAW, you don't have to back up to use the weapon, you just don't get the benefit of the telescopic optic sight.

You think I should wait for Richard's verdict or "**** the torpedoes!" and roll anyway?
