The Shadows Mark OOC

By killakan, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

So 9 stun damage (soak applies) 2 advantage to trigger blast and hit Naught for 9 stun damage as well.

2 Advantage to trigger Disorient for 3 rounds on Queg (add 1 setback to all checks for 3 rounds)

2 advantage to gain a second maneuver (first was used to aim) to dive around a nearby corner and out of sight.

Let me know what you think of those, or if I missed something.

That sounds about right to me. After soak, that's 5 strain on Naught.

I'll IC all that later on, giving Prophyt a chance to reply in the morning

If Naught wants to try Charm, Deception, or Negotiation, if Lalam is standing next to you add 2A (for the Loom talent)

Naught already went, I believe, ripping the guns from the Krogan. Also please remember to upgrade twice if Larik is targeted by a grenade.

Good to know Lalam has loom. That will come in handy for Larik and Naught both, being two of the more social of the PCs.

NPC's are finished, the second group of minions riding shotgun in the speeder never got into range. I'll IC in a little while

Oof. Queg takes 6 after Soak

Larik and Lalam are up next, then back to the top of the round. there is a side road next to you that leads to wherever that other speeder is, 2 maneuvers would get you to the end of that side road and presumably a visual on that speeder. Otherwise there is plenty of cover, or the truck is at Medium range from you too.

Larik will use his turn to get to the truck. I'll take the strain to do the two maneuvers need to get there and for my action Larik will open the door and check on the beaten up Krogan.

The 2 are standing definitely but away from the door, although an unmistakable look of confusion crosses their face when a Human opens the door.

Lalam sticks with Larik in case there's an ambush, spending 2 strain as well. For his action he'll scan the area.

Quick aside, Larik still had one wound hanging around from the arena battle. Is it OK to assume it's healed on its own by now?

Yep that's healed.

So we're back at the top, yeah? Does anyone mind if I go? I want to have Larik try super basic communication with the Krogan in the back of the truck. Let them know we're here to help them and get them to come with Lalam and I. He'll try basic first and if that doesn't work fumble his way through Krogan native tongue. I imagine he's picked up a few phrases at this point. Incidentally, is the one who got beat up still on the ground? Is he in the truck? Did he get tossed on the speeder bike with the big leader guy?

Edited by sonovabith

Leader was in a 6 seat ground speeder.

Guy that got beat up is groaning but not up.

The 2 in the truck seem to understand you, but as you may well imagine are quite unsure... Charm? Hard, 2 setback to get then moving now.

Setback is for their unwillingness to trust and slight communications barrier

Charming the Krogan : 2eA+2eP+3eD+2eS 2 successes, 1 threat

That could've gone worse. With Lalam's loom that means the lone threat gets canceled and replaced with an advantage.

The two Krogan recognise your sympathy and care, they both get out of the truck with many thank you's and the smaller one even gives you a little hug "no mine, thank you, no mine" is the most that you can catch from what they are saying.

edit: never mind, brain misfire...

So, NPCs up next?

Yep. Things seem quite, then just as your looking around a shout comes from behind you a hail of blaster fire comes from back up the street the way you had come, and the three that had disappeared burst from cover to engage Lalam and Larik, fists flailing, looking to knock you out.

So the leader uses Coordinated assault, an advantage to both minion groups.

One minion group fires (on stun) at Qheg and Naught (Naught more specifically due to dishonest nature of the Move trick)

The second smaller group engage Lalam and Larik then start Brawling with Lalam (the most obvious threat)

So I assume the first groups attack on Naught is upgraded twice by Sense and a setback for defence

The attack on Lalam is standard difficulty with a Setback, but need to make a fear check first?

Attack on Naught first;

Rifle set to stun on Naught : 3eP+1eD+1eC+1eS 4 successes, 2 threat

p-s-a.png p-s.png p-s-s.png d-th-th.png c-th.png s--.png

So that's 13 stun damage, before soak, with a single threat thanks to Coordinated Assault.

I didn't take Lalam's turn as part of Larik's did I? I thought Loom was an incidental just because he's there. If it's not, I'll take the threat instead so Lalam can do something else.

Very true, I was just following whafrog! So there is a PC slot available, but none of the Krogan enemies are visible, although somehow you all know what's about to happen.
