The Shadows Mark OOC

By killakan, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

I'm going to spend 3 of my advantage to disable the Krogan instead of dealing damage (assuming the damage would have gone through its soak), then use the remaining advantage to add a boost to the next ally's check.

and I edited my IC post to reflect the disabling shot

For Larik's action I'm activating sense and all it's wonderfulness. For the maneuver, I'll draw my dragoon and set it to stun.

I forgot to mention something about last night's game. We had a bad storm in our area towards the end of the Game session, so we ran late to keep from sending people home in bad driving conditions.

Right in the middle of a combat encounter, half of the group just zones out and messes with their phones to try to catch rare electric and water Pokémon in that damned Pokémon GO game D<

Ok good morning!

Queg's attack would have removed one of the Krogan from the encounter, and slightly injured another, so you want that to be non lethal damage with the 3 Advantage? Ok with me.

Kaigen these are Minions, I won't ask for an opposed check to pull their guns, just the base power, a range upgrade and a Magnitude, so 3 Force Pips... Easy for you now!

Yeah. Queg doesn't want to outright kill them if he can help it. He chose to have the group intervene in a conflict that doesn't directly involve the party.

And if Naught is willing to move from cover (she is), then I only need two pips:

Move power : 3eF 2 Light Side, 2 Dark Side
So Naught is going to move to short range, pull the guns out of their hands, and deposit them somewhere high up for safekeeping.

Ok, I'll let you this time Kaigen, but in future please don't perform a maneuver in the middle of an action, you should have made the choice to move before rolling the dice. It kind of broke the potential for conflict there.

I can assure you that I intended to move from the beginning, but in the future I will send that in a post before making my die roll and adding it to the thread.

Edit: That is to say, I knew I wanted to move closer if I was going to use Move, but I didn't want to commit to that until I knew what kind of check I'd need to make.

Thank you, I appreciate your honesty

So one more PC can go, anyone but Naught, and the Krogan in front of you are now unarmed.

I'm fine with Queg waiting until after the Krogan go, if someone else wants to go first

Also, Richard, I wanted to ask, since I don't recall what our initial Destiny Pool was, did you update your signature to include the dark side Destiny Point you spent to upgrade my difficulty to shoot the truck?

Ooo no thanks for that, I had forgotten. I'll fix it now

XD yayyy

Bonus OCD points for Prophyt lol

Or you know, since I'm impatient, I can go since whafrog and sonofabith aren't online XD

Using my action to devote a Force die to the ongoing effect of Sense.

My participation tonight will be sketchy at best. The wife and I are out celebrating our 14th anniversary.

Congratulations! That's awesome, enjoy your evening

Ok so these are the actions the Krogan are about to attempt.

The leader is going to make a Piloting check to try and get a double move and get behind you guys this round, I'm calling it difficult terrain, vehicle is speed 3.

Then the 2 minion groups are lobbing some grenades of the stun variety at you, assuming the vehicle gets behind you that will be 2 attacks, 1 on Queg & Naught, the other on Lalam and Larik.

I'll do the piloting roll first.

Don't forget to upgrade their attack for sense lol

I will

Piloting Check to move the speeder quickly : 2eP+1eA+2eB+2eD+1eC 0 successes, 2 advantage, 1 Despair

So they don't get there in time :( the Advantage will be a Boost to the minions throwing the grenade, and another to recover 1 strain. Despair could be to reduce speed of vehicle, inflict 1 HT, a minor Crit, or something else you would like to do.

I vote that the despair leads to a collision as they attempt to pilot the speeder too fast in a decaying urban setting.

Stun grenade at Qheg and Naught : 2eP+1eA+2eB+1eD+1eC+1eS 1 success, 6 advantage

Hmm. That's nice!
