Vigilance or Cool for this situation?

I'm assuming Cool, since this fight hasn't been sprung upon us suddenly, but I ask, because in my local game, our GM has almost always had us rol Vigilance for initiative...

Well, Queg's hunting blaster essentially already has a telescopic sight "pre-installed", which decreases difficulty by 1 at long and extreme range. Since he and Lalam are at long range, Queg is fine to set up there, should they need to fire upon the mysterious figure.

That, and he's next to useless in engaged combat, should it come to that, despite the stealthiness he has

Lalam needs to get closer, at least to Medium range (blaster pistol), but he's making sure his stun club is handy...

Brawn can be boosted, thats fine

Basically if you think you have something to contribute then go, if you cant post for a while we may skip the last initiative slot (as just happened to GMRen) to keep things moving. your free to talk about tactics in OOC, and ask questions on what difficulty a particularly creative action may require. Also feel free to let people know if you want to go later in a round for any specific purpose, or need to go first due to an action your want to perform etc.

I say go for it. It's 2 maneuvers to get from Long to Medium range. I will spend 2 Strain for the second maneuver, and maybe I can spend my Action to do it "quiet like"?

Shoot. I just realized I should have invested in a comlink in addition to the holo-messenger, as I'm not sure they can communicate with one another.

And before you ask: no I don's want to spend a Destiny point to magically have one

whafrog, if you don't mind, I'm going to go ahead and roll to fire (on stun) at the figure, so if I get advantages, you can get a boost to stealth or what have you

@Richard: difficulty at DDSS for darkness? (Queg's blaster removes D at long range which is why I didn't say DDDSS)

Just to let everyone inside the Library know i forgot to reduce the damage from Khit's attack by their soak, which is 3, she has pierce 2, so in actual fact her damage brought 1 of the minions to the brink of death, but didn't do enough to bring it down. so only 2 went down and one got seriously injured. ill go back and fix the IC now

Ok the target Humanoid has Adversary 2 and 1 defence, the Beast has Adversary 1 and 2 defence... You can shoot whoever you want, but i reserve the right to use a Despair from the attack to have it hit the other on of them. Shooting into engaged rules for difficulty don't apply since no friendlies are engaged... yet!

I'll use the triumph to upgrade my next check against them then. IC post coming.

Humanoid target:

Long range = Hard

+Adversary 2 = DCC

+Defence = DCCS

+Dark = DCCSSS

Mount target:

Long range = Hard

+Adversary 1 = DDC

+Defence = DDCSS

+Dark = DDCSSSS

You add 1 Boost for the Accurate, plus more if you Aim.

Or if you double move with strain then take a D away from all of those
