The Shadows Mark OOC

By killakan, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

It is NPC time,

The small group will flee before the round ends, jumping down into the hole screeching and cawing as they go.

Then it's back to the top of the round.

Maw is going to swing its tail at Larik, the flashing saver drawing its attention. Defence etc?

1 defense and I had sense up and going prior to this whole mess, so CCS should be your difficulty, I believe. Unless there's a silhouette issue too that I didn't consider.

Ok, plus she is more than 2 Silhouettes bigger, which increases difficulty one more, and attacking a foe engaged with an ally Upgrades it once, so CCCS:

Tail whip at Larik : 3eA+3eP+3eC+1eS 3 successes, 1 threat, 1 Despair

a-a.png a-s.png a--.png p-s-s.png p-a.png p-s.png c-th.png c-d.png c-th-th.png s--.png

13 damage, with a threat and Despair for your use

That can be used to hit the little birds (or Lalam!) instead as per the "attacking a foe engaged with an ally" rule.

Ouch. Yeah, finishing off the birds is fine. Give it a strain with the threat.

Ok, a bead of sweat falls from the tip of its tail!

But the birds are sent flying 6 becomes 2. I'll IC

Since the birds are gone, can Lalam grab Queg and haul him to safety?

If you would like. It's PC turn, one Stim would also have him back on his feet.

I have no stims left. Surely in a hangar there must be a medical kit on the wall... :) I would flip a DP to make it so...

Absolutely, great use of a DP. It's on the wall to the side of the hallway exit toward the pilots dorms etc. It will take a Maneuver to get to Queg, then another to get him to the first aid station, with your action being to pick him up or drag him.

You may need some help to get Stims and pump him back up, or do it next round

Can I make an Athletics check to haul him faster?

Hmm, I'm not sure honestly. That's not something I have ever thought about.

So you want to try:

Get Queg

Drag Queg

Get Stim

Administer Stim.

It seems quite cinematic, so I want to say yes, but I'm not sure of a difficulty. He isn't that big, but has a bit of gear, also very close to a giant beast...

How about a Fear check against Hard difficulty, then an Average (his Brawn) with 2 Setback (his gear) Athletics check to haul him double time.

Naught and Larik can take the opportunity to marvel in the sheer size of Maw too, and make Hard Fear (Discipline) checks as well.

What. Is. That. : 2eA+1eP+3eD 1 failure

a-s-a.png a--.png p-s-a.png d-f-f.png d-th-th.png d-f.png

No good.

Well there's an interesting result:

That's a big one : 1eA+3eP+3eD 5 successes, 3 threat, 1 Triumph

Poh, interesting.

Okay, Fear:

Monsters, Ink : 1eP+2eA+3eD 2 successes, 4 threat

I should give you a chance to spend the Threat before I make an Athletics roll.
Edit: evidently Lalam is either too distracted or too dim to make much of this beast.

I've got to work, and need a little time to fully think about all those results, but let's have 2 Threat from yorvroll be that the caution you take makes grabbing Queg a little harder, adding a setback to the roll.

Oy, more fun:

Ho, heave, ho : 2eP+2eA+2eD+3eS 2 successes, 3 threat

Lalam hauls Queg as far as he can into the hallway before collapsing from the exertion. Between the two rolls there were 7 threat, 2 adding a setback, leaving 5. Four Strain puts Lalam *at* his threshold.

Well that seems fitting. Leaving one to spend. Perhaps a setback to the next PC action, not sure the narrative reason yet though

Added an IC post, I'm not sure I have time to administer any aid in this turn, but if so I grab the first aid kit and scrounge for a stim pack. I'll give to Queg first.

Queg had plenty of stimpacks on his person, FYI lol

Have the main hangar doors leading outside been opened or is that still a work in progress?

Work in progress

Yeah, and now that Maw has broken into the hangar, I don't think she's going to be taking the time to work through the rest of the process.

For that fear roll, I don't know what you want to do with the threat, but can I use the Triumph to give everyone else a chance to overcome their fear with a new roll with a boost?

I was wondering if we could mind trick the beast into thinking we were fleeing out the door and have her chase us, thus falling to her doom.
