The Shadows Mark OOC

So thats going to slow things down for you :( You know you haven't got it right (Advantage). Either you can try with what you have done, it may work but your not sure, or keep working at it next turn to get it right (will be an easier check since you have experience with the system now)

The last Minion group is up now, then back to the top with 2 NPC slots. ill get it all up in the next half hour or so

The birds are attached Lalam, a Brawl check for them, AAAAP, I'll flip a DP to upgrade their attack to AAAPP. Defence 1, anything else?

What does the big beastie look like? If it's similar to vision beast, does Queg need a fear check?

It's one and the same, it's long neck is reaching through. But I'm not quite sure what difficulty to set! I think a Hard check, with 3 upgrades since your very aware of just how powerful it is, but 2 boost for having had time to prepare giving you confidence.

The Fear is persistent, so another setback.

Oh boy. And Fear is a Discipline or Cool check? I'm AFB, because family

Usually Discipline, though I'm sure a case could be made for Cool.

I'm pretty sure this is going to require Discipline on Queg's behalf and he's gonna fail miserably.

Also, how close is the thing's head to the explosives Queg planted?

THE BEAST HAS COME TO CONSUME OUR SOULS : 1eA+2eB+3eC 2 failures, 2 threat, 1 Despair

Well, it could have been worse, but not by much.

So...Do I need to make a new character now or as soon as that Despair resolves in Queg getting eaten by the monster?

Holy crap. That's not good.

I think Despair on a Fear check is automatic Conflict. But I'm AFB so I can't remember what 2 Threat is supposed to be used for, possibly disoriented.

I'll ask for a less severe fear check from everyone else when the entire beast reveals itself

Bite and claw Lalam : 4eA+1eP+2eD+2eS 1 success, 3 advantage

3 Advantage to knock Lalam off the edge and into the hole. Make an Average Coordination check to land on the top of the wreckage. Failure and you fall Medium range to the floor below. I forgot to flip the DP for their attack so I'll flip it now to upgrade the difficulty.

So Queg is dead? He's dead.

What's the damage from the hit?

I upgraded by flipping a DP, and...what fun!

Falling falling falling : 1eP+2eA+1eD+1eC 1 success, 1 advantage, 1 Despair

So I do a cat flip and land on the wreckage. I shout a warning to Larik so he gets a boost. And something is about to make me very "not happy".
Edit: I guess technically the boost goes to the next ally, so whoever that is...

Lalam also gets eaten

I'll say you land prone.

They do 5 damage to Lalam, Pierce 1.

Prone is pretty nice :) Okay, Lalam takes 2 Wounds total

Plus damage from a Short range fall... 9S 9W, apply Soak to both.

As for Queg he is in for some emotional challenges.

Im going to rule he sees a scar on the chest of the beast right where he wounded the creature in his vision; he suffers 2 Strain for the realisation that what he saw was a vision of the toughness this creature holds.

The overwhelming fear, even terror of having to confront this thing that took an anti tank rocket to the chest and survived is pushing Queg to the brink of despair. He upgrades the difficulty of all checks in this encounter by 1 and suffers 3 Conflict.

Whoa! Well, it was a good run. I'm assuming I've landed on top of the shuttle...?

Yep.

How far down is Lalam? How many more critters are surrounding Larik now?

I'm guessing I'm just going to attack the ones that are swarming around me and the hole where Lalam once was.

Two groups engaged. 4 in one group, 10 in the other (the group who just pushed Lalam off the edge).

They have no defence

I'm not sure where we're at in the round, but when I get to go, if there's no birdies around, I'm going to try to climb into the shuttle and see if it's operational. Otherwise I prepare for a last stand...
