Just 2? Aww
The Shadows Mark OOC
lol. how much of the ship are you planing on destroying?
As much as possible before my friends turn on me?
To clarify, are we hearing things come from both the door and the hole or just one or the other?
The loudest noise is from the hole, since it's the biggest opening. But your quite sure the noise is actually coming from deeper within the ship and it's juts because of which doors are open etc that it sounds like it's from the hole.
Gotcha. Thanks.
As the animals get steadily closer what are the rest of you doing while Queg finds some explosives?
Lalam gets that tingly feeling in the back of his neck, and subconsciously boosts Brawn (an Action). If there's time for more I help scrounge for grenades, but I really want to crawl into one of those TIE fighters and hide just about now...
Is the hole "defendable"? I mean, if I stand there and hold the "high ground", will it be advantageous? I think Queg should get into a TIE, hand me the detonators, and I'll drop them on the beasties coming up, then try to hold off as many as I can.
Did the Krogan come with us?
I think Larik's already got sense up and active. He pulls his lightsaber and adopts a defensive posture next to Lalam. The idea being if any get past Lalam, Larik will be ready to keep them off of Lalam.
The hole is the obvious way for them to get into the Hanger, it is definitely defensible. They will be able to get up from below by leaping off the wreckage of floor and Lambda, but its a decent jump and acts like a bottle neck, making it easier for you and harder for them.
Whatever made the giant roar, well you have no idea what that thing will be capable of, or even if it would fit in the room underneath
I wait until I can hear stuff a lot closer, then I'll drop a thermal detonator down the hole
you may not want to be too close to the hole when that goes off. It would be a fall of Short range to the top of the wreckage, Medium to the floor below level below, there is likely to be a lot of flying debris when that thing goes off.
Well, Queg would move back
Naught is going to see if there's a way to open up the hangar door now that some power has been restored. It would be nice to have some kind of viable escape route if things go south.
The door is huge, these are external blast doors designed to protect whatever is inside the Hanger from external attack. To move it you could:
Successfully passing a series of checks: Education, Mechanics, Computers then a final Mechanics check; Identity the correct electrical circuits that need modification, perform a manual rewire of the emergency lighting circuits to output enough current to power the doors, then reprogram the entire system of power sensors to ignore the modifications, and finally connect the power supply to the doors and open them.
Or use Move of a silhouette 5 object with an Average Discipline check.
A Thermal detonator would "open" part of the door.
A Tie may have enough firepower to "open" the door too, with enough sustained fire.
A Lightsaber would be able to cut a hole too, not enough to fly out of though.
Now there is emergency power there may be other smaller exits too, if you do some searching
Would precise use of a lightsaber weaken the doors enough make the TIE fire more effective?
With enough time then yes, but imagine a door bigger than an NFL field, a couple of meters thick and made of mostly solid durasteel. You don't have 3 days to weaken it with some Lightsaber holes
Okay, Naught is going to begin the series of skill checks. Ideally, it'd be nice to get the TIEs out of here without the risk of trying to blow our way out. What's the difficulty on the Education check going to be?
Average Education, there is going to be a single upgrade due the limit of emergency power rendering the computer terminal, that would normally guide you through this, inoperable and no other information readily available.
Should I be making intermittent perception checks?
Not yet, lets have Naught get this check done, then everyone can have an action
Roger that. I'm just making sure you don't spring those wild animals in us suddenly ;P
No, I wouldn't do that, they just keep getting closer and closer. Louder and louder. How many are there?
._. you're cruel
It's not me, it's this twisted war torn planet that's evil and malicious
