The Shadows Mark OOC

By killakan, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Yep everyone made it up onto the top of the ISD then down again to the hanger door, that you can see is slightly open, enough to shimmy through on your stomach.

If everyone could IC them helping each other and making it to the hanger to meet Queg again. After that I'll IC post to give information on the Imperials movement and the new scene that presents itself. Everyone can go ahead and roll a simple Discipline/Cool to recover strain now as we transition as well.

I'm heading to bed, but I'll IC in the morning.

Lalam likes it up here:

Taking in the view : 1eP+2eA 3 successes, 1 advantage

Discipline check, all strain recovered. Not sure what the Advantage can be used for, if anything.

Take a boost to your next check (if you remember!) as the refreshing sight of the horizon and a faint glimpse of the sun lifts your mood.

Take a deep breath : 3eA+1eP 4 successes, 1 advantage

That puts me almost back to 0 strain. I'll try to remember to add a boost to my next check for the advantage.

The Blurry Landscape Refreshes : 3eP+1eA 2 successes, 1 advantage, 1 Triumph

That puts me at a mere one strain.

Right now, Larik is the group paladin and Queg is the chaotic neutral (maybe evil) rogue. Simplest comparison

Lol.

I'm going to sleep, talk more tomorrow/tonight.

I want to give the others a chance to react to Queg's presence before I post again IC

Aww no one wants to talk to their missing buddy

Sorry. It's been a busy day. I posted in the other game in the sore time I had today. Don't worry, I'll come up with something suitably dismissive for Larik to say to Queg. Haha

hahaha okay okay

Is there a limit to the number of mods an attachment can have?

Only what is listed as potential mods in the entry for the attachment. There's no arbitrary number at which you have to stop, though once the difficulty pushes beyond Formidable, Richardbuxton will have to decide if he wants to keep piling on Purple dice or use the common house rule of starting to upgrade them instead.

I was curious, because one of those lightsabers has a kimber stone, which I think has 6 possible mods? It's ridiculous

Yeah, so theoretically you can have a Kimber Stone with all of those mods, but after a while the difficulty of the checks is going to get pretty enormous, so it's likely that you'll fail at least one.

That's true. In my local campaign, the attachments I've put on the lightsaber all only have one mod, so I haven't had to worry about it. But I still only have a basic Ilum crystal

Yeah each successful mod increases the difficulty. Also it's worth remembering the ability to add Force Dice for success when a Force User mods their own Saber. So a high Intellect, Mechanics skill and Force Rating all help, not to mention lots of Inventor and the amazing Master Artisan talent. Then there are those talents that once per session allow a character to use a skill/characteristic they are good at for any check, eg Clever Solution.

Out of interest this is the progression of difficulties I follow for number of successful mods installed:

1. Hard DDD, 100cr

2. Daunting DDDD, 200cr

3. Formidable DDDDD, 300cr

4. Impossible DDDDD with a destiny point for no benefit, 400cr

5. Impossible upgraded once DDDDC with DP, 500cr

6. Impossible upgraded twice DDDDC with DP, 600cr

Etc.

It's really really really hard to modify a weapon fully.

I just had a massive amount of work dropped on me, super busy for the rest of today, I'll IC tonight for you to wake up to, sorry

That's fine, boss. I'm sure we can IC some catching up nonsense with our characters for a bit

sonovabith: will you have time for an IC post today? *impatient*

Sorry, super busy. I'm trying.

If you can't, don't worry about it. I can wait lol

I'm far more impatient than I have any right to be

Everyone will need to make a Hard Resilience check, upgraded once for a Destiny Point and with 2 setback for the sudden and shocking nature of this scene. DDCSS.

Anyone who fails must automatically suffer 1 Strain for every action they perform within the hanger and nearby rooms.
