The Shadows Mark OOC

By killakan, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Well let's see. I've got a few options open so let's try them one at a time.

First off, I'm going to roll a Force die to do some force things.

Using da Schwatrz! : 1eF 2 Light Side

f-ls-ls.png

Perfect. Use one light side pip to activate Sense, use the other to activate Farsight (see normally in Darkness up to Medium range for 1 minute)

Next we'll stealth

*Mission Impossible theme* : 2eA+3eP+2eB+2eD+1eC 1 success, 3 advantage

a--.png a-a-a.png p--.png p-s-a.png p-a-a.png b-s.png b-a.png d-f-th.png d-th.png c-th.png

I'll use the Advantage to provide 1 boost for my next check, which will be the perception check, and a floating boost for the Knowledge Lore check on the lightsabers. I also get a Boost on the Perception check for my Force Talent "uncanny senses"

I can see in the dark : 2eP+2eB+3eD 2 failures, 1 threat

p--.png p-s-a.png b--.png b--.png d-th.png d-f-th.png d-f-f.png

That sucks. I assume I take a strain for the threat. Next is the check for the blaster pistols.

What are these guns? : 5eA+2eD 3 successes, 3 advantage

a-s-s.png a-a-a.png a-s.png a-s-a.png a-a.png d-f.png d-th.png

I'll use 1 Advantage to provide a Boost to my next check and 2 to provide a Boost to a check of my choice, which makes a total of 3 boost on the Knowledge Lore check for the lightsabers.

Cylinders of Mystery : 2eA+3eB+4eD 1 success, 2 advantage

Forgot the setback.

Forgotten Setback dice : 2eS 0 successes

http://orokos.com/roll/images/eote/s--.pnghttp://orokos.com/roll/images/eote/s--.png

The setback don't change my result. I will use the 2 Advantage to recover 2 Strain for a net 1 Strain recovered over all checks

If I can't use both pips to activate 2 force powers (which I just now realize is probably a thing), here's a second Force roll. If it's dark side, I'll accept the consequences

Using da Schwatrz! Part 2 : 1eF 2 Light Side

f-ls-ls.png

Huzzah!

I'll reply properly in the morning, busy night.

Lol Ok.

I'm winging it now. Through the control room window you can see people existing a heavily armoured transport, 2 vastly different officers and 8 Stormtroopers... The "Doc" greets them, they haven't obviously seen the flashes of light up here.

Can I do a perception check to see if Larik noticed the flashes of light that the stormies missed? And now that we're in the belly of the beast, I'd like to commit Sense's ongoing effect.

That fight was pretty epic if a bit one-sided XD

Perception will be average, but upgraded once and a setback. the risk of them noticing you looking at something with interest is not high, but the consequences of you tipping them off is dire. DCS

And the results of my rapid fire checks? Lol

Queg sneaks through the the warehouse area, undetected by whatever is guarding the room

The Sabers blades where both red when they had been activated. One of them appears to be of volcanic origin, it pops and crackles but doesn't appear to have the usual ability to cut through any material (Kimber Stone, KtP p54)). The other has an odd appearance, there are waves of energy radiating off it, and being close to the blade feels very hot (Barab Ingot. FaD Core p196). Both are obviously attuned to their previous owner, they feel to have a lot more potential (Unmodified)

The Pistols are a matching pair, weighted the same and comfortable in the hand. they are both very heavy too, but the twin barrels being the most obvious feature, they have BlasTech engraved down the barrel, they are the extremely powerful HH-50's (SoT p41) renowned for a short range, overheating, but also stopping power equivalent to most carbines.

Now unfortunately for Queg the total encumbrance for all those is 8, what else is he carrying?

Well, he drops extra reload on the Stormtrooper utility belt he's wearing and probably hides the blaster pistols, because he doesn't feel like he needs them. The Lightsabers he'll keep as trophies at first, maybe attune to them himself down the road. His energy bow is encumbrance 4 and he's wearing armored clothing too, which is encumbrance 3

clothing is fine, its reduced by 3 for wearing. and all the other gear is in the snipers nest or on the bike?

Yes

Cool. Queg pops his head up through the floor hatch to see his comrades disembarking the truck, Larik moving to talk with the Twins, and possibly be introduced to the Doc.

What's going on up there : 2eA+1eP+1eD+1eC+1eS 1 failure, 1 advantage

a-s.png a-s.png p-a-a.png d-f.png c-f-f.png s-th.png

Larik apparently saw nothing.

I think Queg is just gonna hang out here for a little while, see how events unfold, maybe watch for an opening to help his companions

Larik will move toward the twins and Brienne, trying to listen in on their conversation, but if caught pass it off as simply approaching them to ask about if they can inspect the damaged controls.

Let's have a deception check, to see how much you can hear before getting caught. Average with 2 setback for all the troops standing around

I remove one setback for a rank in convincing demeanor, so...

(whistles unassumingly) : 2eA+1eP+2eD+1eS 2 successes, 2 threat, 1 Triumph

a-s-s.png a-a.png p-tr.png d-f-th.png d-th.png s-th.png

Hey, not bad at all.

Ok you overhear the trio discussing how a Rodian of Quegs description took control of an AT-ST and blasted their Admiral to hell. They have him captive and are interrogating him right now, the three are deciding what to do next.

That part about Queg murdering an Admiral is deeply disturbing, suffer 2 strain.

The Triumph could be used in a few ways, but I'll hear your suggestions and ideas first.

For the triumph I have a couple ideas: 1) Larik sees Queg peeking out, so he knows that he got free and is ready to back them up. 2) He notices the Imperial force is actually pretty unimpressive. It looks like very few actually survived the crash.

I'm also open to idea I haven't considered that could give Larik more insight and leverage into the situation.

1 is great, 2 isn't so accurate. I would suggest if you choose option 2 it being instead that Larik gets a good idea of just how many Imperials there are alive, possible from the conversation.

so choice is yours, Queg is safe or size of imperial forces.

Hmm, this one is a toughie. I feel like knowing how big the Imperial force is would be a better tactical advantage, but knowing Queg got away could also be adventageous.

I guess I'll go with seeing Queg. Anything else Larik notices at the same time, by any chance?

Queg appears rather well considering the story you have heard of his treatment, he also has blood splatter on his face and a look you have not seen before in his eyes, like he has a taste for blood and is enjoying it. He appears ready to attack the moment he is needed. Currently he is in a position to use the creates that fill one side of the hanger as cover.

seems enough for a Triumph.

Lalam's fingers begin to twitch. Something's about to go down, he can feel it. Subconsciously he boosts Brawn.

Queg activates his Sense ongoing effect. Lol

Larik's plan at this point is to try and get them moving as quickly as possible before they can realize Queg is no longer in the interrogation room. If we can get the Imperials mobilizing it might give Queg a chance to slip out unnoticed.

Also, he's trying to salvage the plan of pitting Imperials against slavers and getting the slaves out of the compound in the confusion of battle. He figures the best way to get the Imps to agree is to offer to show a small strike force the way - a strike force he fully intends on having our group neutralize after taking out the anti-aircraft gun.

Hopefully it works.
