Maybe he does drink, just not into oblivion
The Shadows Mark OOC
Naught has little trouble resisting excess.
I think he probably drinks until he gets the stink eye from Naught. I don't have time right now to do an IC post. Leaving for pub trivia in a few minutes. I'll try to get something up later tonight.
Perception, just looking in the wrong direction:
What shapes are those in the sleet? : 1eP+2eA+1eB+2eD+3eS 1 failure, 1 advantage
I try to reach the others on the comm. Sounds like the Imperials are pretty active in this sector. Maybe they're making runs from, or on behalf of, the downed SD...?
Anyway, we know those turrets are active
I don't particularly care for espionage movies, but the film The Sum of All Fears, particularly this scene makes me want to play a Cold War themed Sentinel focused campaign where Dark and Light side Sentinels are forced to work together to avert Galactic disaster. Like KGB and CIA working together to prevent nuclear war (in the most conspiracy fueled literature)
Anything we need to do to begin the trek in the morning?
Yep, but I haven't had time to put it together. I'll sort something out this afternoon while America sleeps.
So in this trek that could take 2 days if things are slow what vehicles and equipment are you bringing? Stocked up for food I assume, but is the truck the transport? You could fit the bike with sidecar in the back, but it will be a squeeze with 12 Krogan (ie not quick to dismount) Or are you looking to borrow a couple of land speeders for the Krogan and ride your bike? It's still miserable weather too.
As far as things to achieve to get to the ISD you need to Navigate and I assume your trying to be stealthy, so a Stealth check as well, although Skulduggery could work for purposes of disguising your true purpose instead of going completely undetected. Keeping an eye out for danger could be a good idea too. I think you can each only do one thing so the Krogan will have to cover you on one of the things, at least until you meet back up with the others. I'll IC your wake up call soon, but it's just scene setting.
As soon as Queg wakes up and defrosts a bit, he'll partake of a ration and continue to the ISD
Give me a little description on how Queg is traveling, then I'll decide on some skill checks, I have an idea.
He's traveling on his speeder bike without proper weather gear. He got about halfway to the ISD before the storm drove him inside
I was more meaning describe his approach to traveling during the day, is he just going hell for leather as fast as he can get there? Or slow but quiet, using back alleys and the cover of buildings? Perhaps he spends more time looking for threats than navigating? Is he relying on his piloting abilities to get through? Or watching the lay of the land, picking his path carefully?
Whafrog I guess Lalam is doing the same thing? Looking to meet up with Larik, Naught and the Krogan? Or do you want to do a bit of scouting before heading off?
Assuming Khit's directions only get him to "the edge of Krogan territory", he'll drive his speeder bike hell-bent to there, hide the bike, then make the rest of the journey in foot, using his stealth to get in close
Ok, Khit won't have gotten that close to the ISD, walking will slow you down a lot, so I'll give you a couple of options, you can weigh up the risks and then decided which to choose;
1. Ride 4hrs as fast as possible, then walk for over 16 hrs, so either well into the night or half of the next day. This is the slowest way, but safest
2. Ride 5hrs, then walk 10hrs, a faster option, with a few more risks, but still showing some caution.
3. Ride 6hrs, then walk the last 4, faster still but more risk involved.
4. Ride 7hrs right up the loading ramp of the crashed Star Destroyer, well not quite but you get the idea, risky even if your cautious the last little bit.
Whafrog I guess Lalam is doing the same thing? Looking to meet up with Larik, Naught and the Krogan? Or do you want to do a bit of scouting before heading off?
Lalam will make note of his perch, it seems to be a decent hiding spot to return to. He'll then make his way to join up with the others. Since he is somewhat headstrong, he will favour speed over caution (but not to the point of being totally reckless).
Alright, so being headstrong do you think Lalam would ride straight for the ISD or instead meet up with the crew earlier then travel with them. Your a bit further away than Queg but not as far as the others, and in a bit of a different direction to Larik and Naught.
If you think about the distances between you and the Krogan house and the ISD as a triangle. From the house to the ISD is the longest side. The distance from the House to you - the trip you made following the speeder the previous day - is the shortest side, and the distance from you to the ISD is some length in between.
You could cut straight across our imaginary triangle to meet up with Larik and Naught, or head straight for the ISD and get there a bit quicker.
Option 2 seems the best
Given the miserable weather and the number of people we have, taking the truck seems like the best option, though Naught can fly a speeder bike alongside it (wrapped in her thermal cloak) with a spotter in her sidecar to keep a lookout. Are you going to want a Survival check for navigation or some other skill?
The Krogan are capable of piloting the truck, yes?
Trying to determine if Larik and Naught should stick together on the bike and let the Krogan drive the truck or have a Krogan spotter with Naught and have Larik in the truck. Either way I'll be happy to make the skulduggery roll to try disguising the truck a bit.
Alright, so being headstrong do you think Lalam would ride straight for the ISD or instead meet up with the crew earlier then travel with them.
He'll try to meet up with the crew first. Since they're in a truck and he's on a speeder, he should be able to do that, right?
What are my checks and difficulties for option 2? Because, that's what I pick XD
I'll get all your difficulties up now or in the next little bit.
Queg:
Average Piloting Planetary upgraded Twice with 3 setback for the weather and speed your traveling to get through to the end of Khit's scouting as fast as possible, thats 5hrs of going fast through this crumbling city. CCSSS. I believe Expert Tracker would apply since your following Khit's tracks and directions. obviously more checks after that but one thing at a time
Lalam:
You don't have to move fast to catch up with the truck, but i think Perception would be the right skill, trying to spot the right landmarks to head for and rendezvous at. They have an ISD to guide them, your heading for some point between them and the ISD. So thats an Average Perception with 3 Setback for the weather to not delay yourself and the truck by going around in circles.
Larik and Naught:
here are the Krogan Runts, i split them into 2 groups but we can change that whenever you want
