The Shadows Mark OOC

By killakan, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Since we have Naught's assent, I'd like to try forming a scavenging party from the remaining runts, making sure they're armed with what they have available to them, but making it clear to them that we're not going in looking for a fight, just gear to help with the assault and rescue mission.

Okay sonovabith, Let's have a Negotiation check for that, I think you have them ready, but keeping them from killing everyone in site is more your goal here I think. Hard check Upgraded because they like fighting, but a Boost as well because you have been trustworthy so far.

whafrog I think a Vigilance check would work for you hiding but being ready for a quick getaway. Average check with 1 Setback due to the unfamiliar surroundings.

Naught will assist Larik's Negotiation check to provide a boost die.

Rallying the troops, but not too much : 3eA+1eP+2eB+2eD+1eC 1 success
That's pretty anticlimactic. But I'll take a boring success in this case.
Is there any chance Khit did some advance scouting in that direction since that's where we were headed originally anyway?

Okay, Vigilance (boost is from Uncanny Reactions):

Cat-napping : 1eP+2eA+1eB+2eD+1eS 2 successes

I'm pretty good moving to the scavenging mission now if everyone has done everything they want to here.

Lalam finds a nice sheltered spot to bed down for the night, on a second floor for a good view. The speeder bike is off the street and out of sight but he has a clean run out of there if the need arises. You also have a good view of this fort the Krogan Slavers are in, although your not too close so more than seeing simple comings and goings will be tough. I'll come back to you for the nights activities once the others have a plan for what they are doing. Now you have a spot did you want to scout a little or just sit tight?

Larik and Naught are in their new truck, making the rounds to some of the local Runt families, gathering together a small force to face off with against any surviving Imperials. How many are you looking to get? You have a few hours so more than 10 is possible, it just depends how late you stay out. These will be minions too.

Khit is out here somewhere, you spot Ronto poo a couple of times, at one stage you get a shot radio communication from her "I've seen an Imperial patrol today, I tried following but the jumped in an airspeeder and took off, I'll catch up with you tomorrow"

Queg would like to get directions from Khit or the Krogan to the ISD and head on out there to set up a "Hunting Perch"

I'll let you know how tonight (tomorrow)

Maybe an even dozen? Seems like a solid number to go with.

Alright so Queg can get on the phone to Khit but she never got as far as the ISD, and the locals say its outside their normal territory. It's over a days travel by ground vehicle so you won't be getting there tonight. Did you want to make your way there anyway? Or help with getting the troops ready?

12 sounds good to me, let's give them all carbines, nothing special, by the time that's done it's getting late, you're all going to need sleep somewhere, but at least there are plenty to go on night watch tonight.

Queg wants to get as far as he can before conditions drive him indoors. If that includes traveling at night, I'll start trying to spend Force pips to activate Farsight

He could use his scanner gog-... nevermind.

Queg: *shakes his fists at the sky* Lalaaaaaaaaaaaaam!

I think we'd probably stay at Lyka's house overnight and leave at first dawn, see how far we can get in the daylight. Queg can take his speeder bike out ahead of us in the truck and scout a lookout location. Everyone good with that.

Queg will need to make 2 rolls for the nighttime riding. One is to see how well he navigates, you have a choice of skills for this, but piloting Planetary is probably your best option. The other is to see how long he can resist the cold weather for, this will be a resilience check.

Navigating: DDCSSS for finding your way in a storm in the dark

Resilience: CCS for the bitter cold and driving winds.

Would Farsight be able to negate any of those setback?

Yes it sure would, I think you need to roll it once to determine if you have the ability to use it (not once per minute for the next 5 hours!). Since you don't have the Commit Duration upgrade I don't think it ignores all the setback on the perception, just 2, if you have enough pips on that force power roll to actually active it.

Then there will be checks for Lalam, these will be different due to being in shelter. I think he needs to make 2 checks as well, one for his Perception, another for his Discipline/Vigilance to keep checking regularly and not sleep through any action.

Perception: DDSSS, setback for the storm and dark.

Vigilance/Discipline: DDCS, it's a long cold night and your blankets are very warm!

I am wondering if Naught and Larik need to make some Discipline rolls themselves to be party poopers and not get dragged into a night full of drinking by a house full of Krogan! Perhaps an Easy Discipline with 2 setback for the number of Krogan partying.

Ok suffer 3 strain for pushing yourself so far and through such horrible conditions, strain that this nights rest won't recover. But you make it about half way, with a nice sheltered spot to rest in at the end. You will make it quite close to the ISD by lunchtime tomorrow. Can you IC that?

Sure~

I've never been so disappointed to succeed on a check. I was certain Larik was wearing his bad idea pants.

Okay, just ONE drink : 2eA+1eP+1eD+2eS 3 successes, 1 advantage
