We will just skip over Naught, she is busy being angry with the world.
The Shadows Mark OOC
Since igniting Larik's saber is free, I'll do a guarded stance as my additional maneuver. So in total, the kitties next attack on Larik will have the difficulty upgraded twice and have two setback, one from armor and the second from guarded stance. Does that sound right?
Also, I'm happy to let Khit or the Krogan act first so they can potentially get their gear together and I'll take the last PC slot this round.
On the topic of joining the group my character I was playing is a Hunter Protector (who would ultimately pick up Hermit to bond with her mount) but I'm happy for her to be a background NPC if seeker is what you want to play. Everyone started this campaign at Knight Level so if you want to make a stealth and piloting focused Hunter that sounds good.
First I really should ask how much of the In Character thread have you read through? Then also what kind of a story would you like to tell of that character? Where are they from? How did the end up on this war torn planet?
Well, I don't want to nudge out any of the current active characters. Besides, focusing solely on the Hunter specialization tree shouldn't nudge out a character that's branching out, especially since the hunter I make would be focusing on skills that are lacking in the party
I have read up to page 15 of the IC thread so far. I'll probably be done with the thread by mid-morning tomorrow. Definitely thinking a Rodian character who's associating their connection to the Force as a callback to the ancient past of Rodia; this association led him to seek his fortune in the galaxy at large as a "big game hunter". Often, the most challenging game are sentient species, which is what has led him here. So, more or less, he seeks his fortune hunting large game on galactic "safaris" for people who have too much time and money on their hands and the trip to this planet is a type of vacation...if that makes sense.
So, did your PC get killed by a rancor?
So, did your PC get killed by a rancor?
He did not, thank goodness. He got knocked straight from max wounds to unconscious with one hit, though. One of the party jabbed him with a stimpack to bring him back, and a Nightsister shoved an energy bow in his hands to finish it off. And he got an Ilum crystal as his reward.
Ok so it's:
PC
PC
NPC
PC
PC
We will kick things off now; 2 PC's up first, Naught is in a very deep sleep and not waking up, Wale is MIA, probably off hunting with his Acklay.
Everyone but Larik is prone, weaponless and engaged with the group of predators. They have a defence of 2.
Like I said upthread, I'm fine with Larik going toward the end. That'll give everyone a chance to get up and around and be ready for the next round. His defenses are up.
Okie dokie. I just finished reading the IC thread. It felt like there were a few gaps in the overall information there, but that may be because I'm not seeing the coordinating rolls for skill checks lol
After a little deliberation, I decided to add Mirialan to the "list" of races I'll likely play
Hello, after talking with Richard I'm joining the group again (got a bit more time now). Lalam has crash landed nearby, and he comes to to the sounds of a battle. He's still a little disoriented, but figures the best way to avoid trouble is to see what's going on. He creeps closer. Unconsciously he commits a Force die to increase his Brawn to 4.
Welcome back!
Thanks!
Edit: not sure where in the initiative order Lalam is, I think at the end...and it will take him a few maneuvers to get there. So whenever it's his first turn, he'll spend an action committing to increase his Brawn, while using his maneuver to move closer, and in the second round would like to move closer with a Stealth check.
Edited by whafrogEdit since I should be more careful when rolling dice:
Brawl against nighttime visitors : 2eA+1eP+2eD+2eS 1 failure, 1 advantage
Swing and a miss
Edited by RichardbuxtonWho was acting there Richard? Also if it's a brawl check against the kitties should it have been DDSS instead of DDDD?
EDIT: After clicking I see it was a Krogan. Still curious about the difficulty.
Edited by sonovabithHmm, yes, yes it should. It's one of the Krogan with a brawl check. Perhaps not posting when distracted next time? I'll reroll
So passing a boost to the next PC to act, I'm leaving it open for GMRen and "Jay", but if he doesn't go today I'll have Khit act to move it along.
Final question, are you OK with aiming on non-ranged attacks (lightsaber specifically)? Different GMs I've played with have differing opinions on it.
Good question. To me Aim is just a nice name given to something; it represents dedicating extra time to an attack, focusing completely on the fight, and not allowing distractions to draw your attention. Maneuvers are a very limited resource and, for me, giving one up to focus makes sense on any attack. So yes from Starship to Saber you can Aim.
I just finished making my character, if anyone wants to look at it ^^;

Did you buy talents or force powers that are not marked on the sheet? I can't see where 150xp went.
Next question is to figure out how you join the group. I have ideas, but let's hear what you guys have first.

ah ****.
You know what? I was afraid of that >.<
There was a 500 error code when I saved the page the first time. None of the talents or Force power stuff is on there.
Give me a few minutes to update it
