I was thinking along the lines of in the CRB entry under charm it talks about how a triumph can be used to have an NPC become a recurring character predisposed to assist the PC. Granted, I didn't triumph so that might be a bit much and I don't know about making him a recurring character so maybe I just always have an extra boost or two when dealing with him? Something like that? That being said, I'm also fine with your suggestion.

I do have an idea, go with me on this, but a Holocron that provides the user the Knowledge Warfare and Education skills as career skills, and in this case I think at least a boost to Knowledge warfare, possibly a free rank of that skill if its readily available when making the check, sound interesting? Recurring character for 5 advantage seems reasonable to me.

Yeah, I dig that idea. Now I just need to find the Krogan holocron equivalent of a Walkman so we have him on the go.

I'm no expert but I always understood that a Holocron being kind of sentient could close itself off to the outside, but also communicate directly from itself. I'm open for ideas since this all just kinda happened! Either a device is needed, or a modification to the Holocron of simply pressing a button on it to activate something.

And that's fine too. You're right, as I recall it's just the holocron. It doesn't require a base or receptacle or anything.

Yeah, I just added that for flair! Seemed fun to have the librarian be a Holocron.

In the words of Inigo Montoya: no time to explain, let me sum up.

Basically we found what's essentially, to my understanding, an ancient Krogan library. After many fits and starts we were able to make a terminal work properly and discover a holocron of sorts with the consciousness of the Lore Master in it. Larik seems to have earned its trust and we found out someone beat us here. At this point Larik is asking Khit and Jayson to look for any trace of the people who were here and where they went so that we may track them while Larik and Naught pump the holocron for information.

Will do. Also, thanks! Can I make a perception check, or a vigilence one, to find something usefull,(Like a old mandalorian book on warfare? Mandos conquered a lo of ground so they may have landed here and passed on some of their knowledge, after of course they defeated the Krogan. Think instruction manual boost die to ranged checks or warfare?)

For Jay or Khit to find clues relating to the recent visitors the Perception check will be Hard with 2 setback for the dark.

Otherwise you could choose to notice something for yourself laying around the Library, this will be a Hard Perception with 3 setback due to dark and the rummaging thats already occurred. Otherwise some kind of social check to ask the information of the Lore Keeper, keep in mind that rest of the group have been Charming so far.

Khit has a 3 in Cunning and can remove 1 setback on tracking checks due to her Expert Tracker talent.
