So as some people may have seen we have a business and we sell x-wing. Sadly we had an e mail today that the lain distributor is hiking the prices up on X-wing and Armada. This includes new rrp. Previously single expansions were RRP 11.99 but now 12.99. A imperial raider has gone up massively to 84.99 RRP. part of the increase is the weak £ to $. I'd get yours now before the price increase !
Price rises confirmed :( UK
Well, it is sad but to be expected, at least it seems to be only a quid in the case of the cheaper models, yes as you go up the chain that likely will increase exponentially, and while sad...its something I've wondered about. Good job FFG....good job...
My like was for the heads up, not the price hike! Thanks for the warning...
On the bright side this game is incredibly cheap compared to some others I play. Hell I sold all my MTG legacy cards because no one can afford to buy into the format if they weren't collecting back when the cards were still circulating like some of us. They start to reach GW levels and I may rescind this lol.
Edited by Carnor RexIt sucks that I'm only just getting into the game and I'm hearing about a price hike, but it's not too horrendous.
Cheers for the heads up!
Currency exchange rates can be a *****.
If it the exchange rate that's a weak explanation, the pound may have dropped against the dollar recently, but it hit a much higher high last year, and they didn't cut prices then. If anything exchange rate related it is keeping FFG products at an artificially higher prices in any non $ currency. I would guess that they don't want the product being re exported from Britain to countries with even worse prices, which was happening a lot with another system I play.
That is true. I don't know how it will affect Europe as a whole as the UK s arm is part of the asmodee who own fantasy flight so could he impending across the board.
Prices in Australia have been creeping up for the last eighteen months. A standard expansion has gone from AUS$19.00 to $26.00.

Our dollar is in the toilet too though.

Yes, it's quite the accomplishment, influencing the international exchange rates.
So, regular expansions must be $19 MSRP in the States, right?
... right?

This is more likely to offset the weakening of the currency over 2015 than it is a reflection of the current, even lower, rate. You don't change this up every month after all.
Can any of you Brits (or otherwise) tell me why Book Suppository isn't stocking any Force Awakens or have any Wave 8 up? (Yes, Wave 8, they usually have them up for a few weeks before release, but you can't buy them).
Book Suppository
Ouch? I guess?

It's an Aussie in joke.
Yes, that idiot was our Prime Minister.

This. It's pretty crazy.. I mean there are cheaper options but you still need to buy a good deal of ships from your FLGS to keep them going. Can't just keep going online to save some dough ![]()

Will be for a while by the looks of things too
Well.. I knew I'd have to turn to a life of crime for my plastic crack but it is what it is.
Time to head outside to see what kinda money a man can muster up for wave 8
Was told last night, Hopefully the price won't go up till after the 15th so I can get my raider
X-wing is my one little luxury, a hobby that I share with my kids so I can justify buying it still, and to be honest we have more than enough ships in our collection.
I must admit though that I would hesitate to buy into it at it's current pricing.
Edited by Kentucky Fried EwokThe prices in Poland have also been creeping up. I guess (hope...) it depends on the exchange rates when the distributor paid for the shipment and that they will drop to the previous level eventually.
Knee jerk reaction to the this thread I just rushed out (in.... well on actually) and bought the raider for £54. Now I have to justify it to the wife ![]()
I'm gonna quote the RRP as £85 ![]()
Edit: Oouu and the 12.99 subtraction for the AT only making the raider £41!... justified

The price of small ships has gone up almost 50% in Canada since I started playing X-wing in Q4 2014.
