So how do you fine folks like to us experimental intetface. I've ran it on RAC with Ysard and marksmanship but that's about it. Any thoughts or builds that you've had/found success with.
How to interface experimentaly
Try it on EU Oicunn with Daredevil and Ysanne (probably not worth it, but fun
)
I haven't actually used it, but if you are bringing Youngster it does allow a TIE that doesn't get an EPT to get some action stacking. Epsilon Leader would be a good candidate for it.
I've never used it, but gave a like for the clever topic title. ![]()
Its pretty rare to find a ship that actually wants to use it. Tycho and deathrain are two exceptions.

EU and EI are both Modifications.
And here lies the main issue with EI - it's a 3 point Modification that usually requires a 3-point-plus Elite Talent to use. That's a lot of points to get one extra action, and a big opportunity cost using up those slots. Daredevil, Marksmanship, Expose... there are usually better ways to use both the Elite Talent and the Modification slot.

Ah yes, I forgot. Well the combo isn't good anyways, so it won't matter too much if Oicunn kills himself off.
Biggs with R2-F2 (Action: +1 defense die for the round) and Experimental Interface is a decent combo. Some argue that naked Biggs is better and I don't necessarily disagree with them.
Edited by Red GSoontir with marksmanship, autothrusters and EI grants him less maneuverability, but he hits harder and can still stack tokens.

Yeah I tried that a bit, but it's 6 points and a stress token every round for 2ish extra evades for the life of the ship, if you roll well (with the TLTs in the meta, that amounts to about 0 extra hit points). Now with integrated astromech, he can get 1 super shield (pick when you use it) for only 1 point, and you don't have to worry about clearing stress or getting action blocked.
I exaggerate a tad maybe, but it feels pretty close to that.

Ah yes, droids - that's the other option. Could also be used with R7-T1 and R5-D8.
You could potentially use it as a safeguard against Critical Damage, I guess: i.e. Weapon's Failure, Structural Damage, Major Hull Breach, Console Fire, Loose Stabilizer... might be useful on a Decimator.
Edited by FTS GeckoSounds like a job for.. Jek 'hot mess' porkins! Expert handling, r5d8, EI.. lolz watch me implode!
Blue Ace + R7-T1 +EI...it's ok, not great. Probably not quite worth 33 points.
Decimator, Expose. EI. There we go. Add an extra dice when you're attacking - while keeping a TL or Focus to modify it - and protect yourself from those nasty Critical effects in the process.
Porkins with R5-D8 can use Experimental Interface to play "how long will it take to blow myself up?"
Chewie in the Falcon with Lando crew. Do your first action and then try and stack focus/ dodge tokens. Love it!
I've used EI on Leebo w/ Determination, Experimental Interface, Lando, HLC, title. With the EI triggering Lando I can barrel roll and still have a good chance at a token or two.
Deathrain + EI + EM + 2xProx + Advanced sensors. He can drop a mine before he moves. He can boost EI drop mine then maneuver (if green lose stress). He can drop mine after he moves. He can maneuver boost EI drop mine. Wherever he wants that mine to go, there it is.
The problem with any of the X-Wings and Experimental interface is that it is competing for the same slot that Integrated Astromech (and Autothrusters for the T-70) needs. Outside of the crazy Porkins build that uses EI to trigger repairs it doesn't seem worth giving up either of those upgrades.
Tycho Celchu was born EI and PTL.

Psyco Tycho, to rule them all ![]()

EI doesn't work on damage cards, only upgrade cards.
I've been hoping for a while to get an Action header modification to try to buff Kir Kanos, Lt Lorrir, and Fel's Wrath with this mystery card and EI.
Hasn't happened yet.

Gah, well that's unfortunate. EI really is an ugly duckling upgrade.
I've used Corran with EI, Marksmanship and FCS. He hits very hard like that.
You could try the Ghost with AS, EI, Lando, and Kyle Katarn. Lots of tokens.
