Defense Tokens

By Lord Khurz, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

So when a defense token is used is it used and then gone for the remainder of the game or do they come back next turn?

Every token starts Readied (Green).

When you use them, if they're green, they flip to Exhausted (Red).

Exhausted (Red) Tokens Refresh to Readied (Green) at the end of the Turn.

If, however, you spend it while its Exhausted (Red), then its gone for good *

Alright, thanks. I was confused because I was thinking using the token once wasn't right and I saw redirect used much more in battle reports.

And just because it's a common question. You can use more than one token per attack, but can't use more than one of a given type of token.

So you can use an evade, brace and redirect token, but you can't use two evade tokens.

And for example if Vader is my commander and I use his effect, by discard it means get rid of it in general?

Correct.

If somethign says discard, it means toss it away, wether its Readied or Exhausted doesn't matte,r its thrown away.

Correct.

I thought Vader said to spent the token, not to discard it?

I mean yes if it says to discard then you remove it from play, but Vader just makes you spend it, so you flip it over or discard it if it's exhausted.

Correct.

You are correct. I did not check the card, and instead went with the assertion that "IF it says Discard, it means Toss it away."

If it says spend, you spend. Darth Vader indeed says spend :)

If it says discard, you discard it, wether its Red or Green...

Darth Vader indeed says spend :)

Ok :) I'm not nearly as familiar with Armada cards as I am X-Wing ones. I was confused by Vader at first as were I think were other people, thinking you had to discard tokens to use him.

I double checked the Warlord builder and that said spend, but I know with X-Wing anyway the builders aren't always accurate because they often use preview images.

Sounds like another video to work on. Thankfully this one would be quick

If anyone is still here, what does obstructed vision do?

If Line of Sight is Obstructed, when you gather your pool of Dice for the attack, before you roll them, you have to remove a dice of your choice from it...

Nice, worth the 5 pts, can it be obstructed multiple times?

Nope, you're either obstructed or not.
