You can always pick Juno to go WITH Vader.
Vader at PS 11 with Engine Upgrade does Juno's movement shenanigans better, and has better action economy and PS, and is therefore the better Procket Delivery service.

Sure Vader + VI + EU is better than Juno + VI, you're also paying 5 more points for it. 5 points is a lot, it's the difference between Fel and a RG.
Remember that EU Vader can't have a Guidance Chimp. Juno can, and still pull off her movement shenanigans

None of us plays Imperial, but on paper Juno Eclipse seems quite good (TIe Advanced so it benefits from ATC, PS8, a ton of greens and an epic dial in general). Question is: what's the catch? How come nobody fields Juno or talks about Juno ?
when it comes to arcdodgers, the one with higher PS and extra action economy wins.
it's just unlucky for her having Vader around, her ability isn't such a backbreaker like Jacx to rival the top-gun in the stack
I've been flying triple advanced aces for a while and I have to say, I really do love flying Jun

Vader, ATC, Predator, EU
Juno, ATC, PTL, Tie Mk II
Stele, ATC, Crackshot, Tie Mk II
Used to try to use Stele with Calculation but he justt didn't have the actions for it. Juno is by far my favorite part of the list, Vader always attracts a ton of fire early game and once the furball begins her pilot ability really shines. My local play group doesn't normally fly aces, generally generics or mid PS oddballs so it's worked pretty well the last few times I've flown it.

Juke + AC Juno
I do quite well with Vader AND Juno. Still playing with the extra 36-37 points of my list. Juno does quite well is she can get behind an opponent as she can speed up to close or slow down to catch an evasive target. Can't fly her like Vader cuz she isn't Vader. Need to be more conservative with her. Plus, you don't really need to pile the points on compared to other aces.
I actually faced off against an all-TA list last weekend that included Vader, Juno, and two Tempest pilots all running the x1 title card and Accuracy Corrector across the board.
I was running a swarm of 6 Scum Z-95s, each with Feedback Array and four of my six ships had hull upgrade to offset self-damage from FA.
Vader and Juno both wanted to get into range 1 to roll extra attack dice and almost every round I would use 1-3 FAs and use standard attacks with the other Z-95s. Vader was the first to fall, followed by one of the two Tempest pilots, then Juno, then the last Tempest. I lost three Z-95s in the middle of all that, but if you run a Z swarm with FAs then you must plan to lose ships in order to force through unavoidable damage.
Anyway, Juno's maneuvers are great, but the main reason I don't see more people running Juno is that Vader's ability to perform two actions is better, and if you're dropping points on Vader you either need a swarm of cheaper ships (academy pilots) or another 3-4 ships that can roll at least 3 attack dice each per attack to support Vader.
I use Juno all the time because I think flying Vader is cliche.

What a legendary pilot. He shoots down ships that can't maneuver from behind while they have no chance of fighting back. Can't even nail a farmboy nobody who's never been in an X-Wing before, and then gets rammed by his own pilots.
Meanwhile, Wedge is the first one into the Death Star II, blows it up, and is back in time for tea.
PS this is part of the reason I'm still hoping for another T-65 Fix. Wedge vs Vader is no contest ATM.

Don't forget to pair him with Carnor Jax so they can't spend their Focus token (and for more shenanigans, Captain Kagi so they can't TL carnor or zertik either)
Juking Juno works mighty fine. AC to eliminate the need for Focus actions.
I pair her with Jax and Vessery for a trio of pain inducing 8s.

As you said, only his son seems to give him problems. I would argue it was not Wedge that blew up the second Death Star, but Luke (again) via keeping Vader out of the fight. Other wise....

Loads of fun to fly, and the PRockets hit like a hammer. I enjoy flying her as much as I enjoy flying Vader. Different style, but fun nonetheless.

I always tease a buddy of mine who took top 16 at the Milwaukee regional flying a pre fix advanced. He of course points out that Doug Kinney won the first worlds with one.
I dont really see Juno as an ace, but as someone who can fly in formation with absolutely any ship(baring non k-turn exotic menuevers). Stick squad leader on a ship with more health than tie fighters, or more options than bombers. And in a pinch she could break from th pack and act like an arc dodger if needed.
