Diala Painting question

By Rogue Dakotan, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Sorry if this has been asked before, if so please link me to the right thread.

I was looking at my FLGS's selection of Citadel paints and they don't have the Baharoth Blue Sorastro says to use for Diala's lightsaber.

I thought of using one of the light blue dry paints, but wasn't sure if that'd work or not.

Any recommendations on how to proceed without that special Edge paint?

I'm almost 100% positive that in the description for that video he points out that Skink Blue in the Citadel Dry line is the same pigment, just not as wet. So you could get some of that color and water it down or use some Lahmian Medium to get it to the right consistency.

fantastic. Thanks.

No problem! I just checked the cheat sheet I made, and I listed Skink Blue as a Baharoth Blue substitute, so I'm pretty confident that's right.

Actually Sorastro wrote on the paint list for Diala that Skink Blue was the alternative he recommended. :)

watering it down to a nice even medium is real hard though so expect to spend a lot of time trying to get it right and defiantly don't rush it, you'll be disappointed by the results if you rush it.

out of curiosity are there other methods people have used besides the one put forth by Sorastro?
