Troubles with X-Wing in Russia
Edited by circk
I'd get in touch with FFG directly if I were you. You need an official response, and you won't get one on the forums.

Just a guess, but could it possibly have something to do with the current US economic sanctions against Russia? Perhaps FFG products fall into a cateogry of 'luxury' goods that US-based companies can no longer sell in Russia.
Email them. Or perhaps better, tweet them or ask them on Facebook.
I would also like to add that players don't care weather it is translated into Russian or not. We just dont want to be descriminated and have the ability to play with tournament kits just like the rest of the world. FFG, please stop ignoring our needs.

I posted above. They ignore the letter .

But we have no problem with any other FFG games. Only star wars related.

That strikes me as being a Disney related issue. Again, some sort of licensing/trade issue perhaps?

The problem is that we are not getting any answer on what the problem is or what we should do to solve it.

No, it don't. We able to buy other FFG production. Also, I don't know anything about ban on luxury-segment goods from USA - we can buy it freely.

Problem solved.
Hmm, could you maybe try to buy off the X-Wing stuff over a third party - as in a european distributor...?
I assume, if they'd do it, you'd have to pay an extra coin for it, but if need be...!?

I'm not sure what other help you expect TBH. We can't do anything about this, and FFG don't respond in an official capacity on the forums... ever, really.
I'm sorry to hear about your problem, circk, it certainly doesn't seem very fair.
The only suggestions I can make is continuing to ask the question to FFG via email, post and social media (Facebook, Twitter can't be ignored forever in this day and age), and to get as many of your friends and fellow players as possible to do the same. Join X-Wing groups on Facebook and follow gaming accounts on Twitter, and hopefully others will see your problem and also repost your questions and spread the word.
Hopefully you'll get an answer; it might not be the answer you're looking for, but at least knowing the cause of the problem is preferable to not knowing.
I don't know if it is possible or worthwhile for you to buy stock from elsewhere, European stores maybe?
Aside from that, keep playing and enjoying the game with the expansions you have, and hopefully the situation will change for the better soon!

They are regulars. Store or Regionals are extremely rare
I am Russian X-wing player and want to be the part of world community.
Even despite the fact that we have only a dozen people playing X-wing in our small town, participate on the regional events and be part of Star Wars - it is an incredible feeling.
This politicied situation makes me really sad...
Come back FFG please!
I would like to add that X-Wing communities have been developing not only in the European part of Russia but also in Siberia.
Since October 2014 my friends and I have created fast-growng communities in many Russian cities to the east of the Ural Mountains. We keep working by maintaining social network communities and make our own reviews for players who don't speak English but would like to know what's new in the X-Wing MG: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmxJBWJBYDZ6MqWRj4KBwBw
Therefore, we would be very glad if FFG paid attention to this issue. The point is, the official Russian distributor of FFG products translates X-Wing expansions into Russian and sells them here without any problems. And in the same time FFG itself hasn't got the permission to sell Star Wars-related products in Russia. The whole situation seems ridiculous.
Dear FFG! My collection of 50 ships is a vary sad without tournaments with official status and promo kits
Will we expect the X-wing community to be as brutal as the 40k scene in Russia?

No, Stepan Zotov doesn't play X-wing yet. But we can reconsider this matter, if we will not receive tournament kits
I did a little nosing about online and found this:

It sounds like Disney is having some corporate ownership issues in Russia, which could certainly affect their licensing deals. It may be that FFG/Asmodee isn't supposed to comment on it, so they can't really respond to requests.
This article is over a year old, but assuming the law hasn't been amended significantly it may be related to your problems getting Star Wars stuff.

Thank you for your excellent suggestions.
