Huge Guns for Heavy Spec.. Is there a list?

By RodianClone, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I am making a Rocket Racoon inspired character for fun, a Chadra-Fan Heavy. I have pushed his Brawn up to 3 and bought 2 ranks in the Burly talent to lower the Cumbersome quality for weapons of 2 times. without a weapon sling he can now wear a cumbersome 5 weapon with no trouble.

So... Is there a list of the big, cumbersome guns anywhere? I didn`t find a good way to search or browse for it in the awesome OggDude`s character generator.

Dangerous Covenants has the biggest of the hogs in it pretty much.

Here ya go

Don't forget that you can attach a Weapon Harness to further decrease the Cumbersome rating ;)

Thank you! Too bad anything with high cumbersome seems to be restricted and can`t be bought at character generation. Guess I can save the Burly talents for later, or just one of them and go down to 2 in brawn.

Restricted, to me, simply means "requires GM approval." I'd approach your GM about it, if you see a weapon that you really want. At least at that point he'll know that you want it, even if he says "no" for now.

There is no concussion rifle, so the list is, sadly, incomplete.

The core rules has the best heavy repeating blaster, dangerous covenants has some not quiet as good ones

If your looking for unrestricted get a heavy blaster and mod it to hell.

IMO the HOB Heavy Blaster Rifle is the best heavy rifle in the game.

When you go to your GM say something like "I've got this cool concept, but I'd love to have this awesome weapon to use in big firefights, this is no bar brawl weapon, it's not for Negotiations with a Hutt. But when the ISB bust down the door I want to have big Bertha to clear a path"

Basically if the GM knows your not intending this to be your solution to every problem then they are much more likely to say yes early on.

There are attachments that increase Cumbersome rating...so this might be the way to go!

Hopefully your GM does realize that, when playing a Heavy, you want to face problems where a big gun is the right solution for many of them.
