I like the firepower of this list and 30 hull/shield points it hides behind. The T-70's ability to take a target lock when T-rolling gives good maneuverability and action econ, and IA giving essentially another shield.

However, against meta PTL aces with juke, crackshot & comms relay it falls apart. It really suffers at the hands of TIE aces that can arc dodge, take evades, and modify my defense dice.

Am I just being stubborn wanting pure muscle in this meta? Does my lack of any "control" element doom this list? On paper, it sounds good, but I haven't been able to make much of it. Suggestions?

I feel you'd have to fly this list extremely defensively in order to counter the TIE aces and this list isn't exactly designed for defense (1 or 2 agility and no evade actions anywhere). If you can fly this list slowly and with overlapping firing arcs to ensure blind-spot mitigation you'd be a very threatening opponent. One of the current Imperial tactics I'd be most afraid of, as a B-Wing, is the Wampa + Lt. Colzet synergy. Wampa could, with the aid of a Palp shuttle/decimator, guarantee the elimination of a B-Wing in 3 turns - sooner if Colzet flips a direct hit...

I fly XXBB in this way:

Bwing Blue x2

Biggs

Wedge + Swarm Tactics

I think you have a shot against some of the tougher lists out there, but personally I like to have a solid anchor if I do not have an ace. Guri + 3x Kihraxz comes to mind...Guri, even with inferior PS, is such a beast that either draws or deters fire from your opponent...the amount of damage from this kind of list can get crazy as long as you take care of the basics to keep your actions.

In the case of your XXBB list, I would put the X's out front so that one could potentially boost into a blocking position while your others take advantage. The FCS in this list help counter some of the stress meta to still get reliable damage through.

I would run it like this:

2 blues w/ advanced sensors = 25 x 2

2 blue novices w/ R2 + integrated astro = 25 x 2

100

Your only weakness is arc-dodgers, so might as well build your ships to be able to handle them as well as possible. Advanced sensors give your b-wings a surprise mobility factor (barrel roll before dial reveal gets you in some unexpected places). Blue novices with R2 can also pull some unexpected moves, especially off of talon rolls/k-turns with still having access to all 1 + 2 speed moves and still be able to boost afterwards. Its those unexpected moves that allow you to get in a surprise block so you can kill the pesky arc-dodgers (imho).

I haven't flown it yet though. Its on my 'to-do' list...
