K-Wings, Proximity Mines, and Seismic Charges (with Advanced SLAM)

By Zechsword, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Tried searching the forums for this specific scenario, and couldn't seem to find the answer:

A K-Wing has the Proximity Mine, Seismic Charge, and Advanced SLAM upgrades equipped. I understand that the K-Wing cannot normally drop bombs when conducting a SLAM action, but due to Proximity Mine's effect being an "Action:", could the following move be attempted?:

1. K-Wing reveals movement dial and drops Seismic Charge.

2. After dropping Seismic Charge and moving, conducts a SLAM action.

3. Advanced SLAM activates and same K-Wing then uses the Proximity Mine "Action:" to drop the Proximity Mine.

In essence, could this one K-Wing volley two bombs in the same turn when one of the two bombs specifically says "Action:"?

Thanks in advance(d SLAM)!

Nope, you can drop only one bomb per round. Page 7 of the Rules Ref.

To the best of my understanding, you can drop Action: bombs after using Advanced SLAM. You cannot however drop more than one bomb per turn (action: or otherwise), so this doesn't work, but not for the reason you think.

Sure enough, you are both right: I completely overlooked that specific rule.

I am still relatively new to the game, and even newer to using bombs, but I am intrigued by a fully decked out K-Wing full of bombs, missiles, and torpedoes. This will help me in not doing what I am not allowed to do and seeming like a fool!

Thank you!
