I found this not long ago and as a y-wing nut I loved it, I am not even all the way through the video and I want to share it here.

He goes into some Imperial stuff later, the probe droid and the bomber, but it is really neat to see just how detailed these things are up close, way more than you'd even expect. He also touches on some painting techniques briefly that the studio used when making the original models.

They look great but that price...

There's a video of Adam savage doing a scratchbuild Y wing.....cause why not? He worked at ILM and. Built one for a toy company to mold reports.
