So, as a few of you may know, I am attending my first tournament this weekend, the 6th of February.
It's a doubles tournament with the squads being split. The TO has changed the variation to list building slightly,

Each player may have a minimum list of 50 pts, and a maximum of 70pts. So that changed a little bit of synergy

when I was putting together this list. I have been trying for weeks to come up with solid, reliable lists that have the

most flexibility and versatility to compete. An all comers list to be precise. Since this is our first tournament, as a

disclaimer, we're noob. And we dont really know what cheese will be there, but we are preparing for the worst.

We have had hours and hours of play testing, discussions, and a heck of a lot of theoryhammer.

The list is as follows:

PILOTS

Blue Squadron Pilot (28) x 2
B-Wing (22), Fire-Control System (2), “Mangler” Cannon (4)

Gold Squadron Pilot (26)
Y-Wing (18), BTL-A4 Y-Wing (0), R3-A2 (2), Twin Laser Turret (6)

Poe Dameron (38)
T-70 X-Wing (31), R2-D2 (4), Veteran Instincts (1), Autothrusters (2)

We tried to get a lot of raw HP on the table, along with an Ace we needed for a special mission. As well as some control for high priority enemy ships.

We are both experienced vets of Warhammer. With our gaming group sparing no mercy when we play. So we are prepared for the worst, and hope for the best.

We tried to spread the points around, without painting to big of a "SHOOT ME NOW" target on any one ship.

Poe being the highest price ship, we plan to fly slightly behind the advancing B's and Y all the while focusing fire from all ships onto their highest valued target.

None of this split fire nonsense. Stuff has to die! We were thinking Corran, E-wing but Poe is cheaper and slightly more durable. We have noticed that the Internet meta

at the moment is not B-wings, and upon further research I have concluded that we are slightly behind the times, in that B's were powerful a few waves ago.

Disclaimer: Our gaming group has only recently picked up X-wing anyway. So everything is still newish to us, and trying to find and establish what works for us. Our "meta" is

currently still being established anyway.

So, B-wings, we took 'em. My friends likes how they fly, tanky, reliable damage. And they wont get blown up 1st turn.

I do understand that Poe and the Y-wing made famous by Paul Heaver, is a strong meta ship at the moment. And both a reliable. I have been flying these regularly. So I'll be piloting

those while my mate handles the 2 B's.

We hope that we can in fact soak up the shooting on the B's 1st. And we plan to be baiting with those anyway.

So enough rambling on. This is our list. Its won 2 - 0 now against Imperial Aces. Its solid, reliable and a little forgiving.
