Post Asmodee- support really, really slow?

No, it's not another wave 3 thread unfortunately :) !

I'm wondering if anyone is experiencing a recent lack of customer care now that the requests go through Asmodee. I bought an R&V set and discovered it was missing the aggressor fighter so I placed the request through the website-it's going on 2 weeks now with no response, while a couple months ago my request for replacement of a messed up stand was turned around in less than a week. I sent a follow up e-mail, similarly no response.

Anyone else experiencing this too?

Quite the opposite. It was less than one week from email to replacement part for me.

Hmm, I was thinking the same thing, since its been several weeks since I mentioned my MC30 issue and have had no reply. Not to derail the thread, but it could be the lack of news for future waves is just due to what could be a very crazy time at FFG headquarters.

IF there is an issue that's delaying a Wave 3 announcement, (and I kinda doubt there is. This isn't much different than the start of X-Wing) I would say that the issue is more likely with Dust Studios, who I believe handles the painting of FFGs models in China. And if not them, then whoever is handling the painting.

I'm fairly confident that Wave 2 was delayed because FFG had to put something on hold for the Episode VII ships for X-Wing. If there is some kind of delay or backlog on the production end, then that would delay any announcement of a new product for Armada by FFG. It's possible that this whole delay has come from wedging in the new starters and ships in to the production queue. As far as I know the Wave VIII X-Wing stuff is behind as well.

One of the things touted in FFGs merger with Asmodee was their international distribution network. It is possible that Asmodee has a different factory in China that needs to come online or that the contract with their current painting factory is under negotiation.

So, they probably won't announcing anything new for Armada or X-Wing until the production backlog gets caught up.

The one time I contacted FFG about an issue, they never actually responded to the message. All of a sudden a package arrived from them out of nowhere with replacement things.

Oh same here. It was an awesome response and great customer service, tbh. I lost my Corvette tokens and upgrades at an event. I inquired if there was any way to purchase just the token sheets. They sent me some for free. And when you think about it, that's almost zero cost. The tokens and cards are mostly useless without the ship itself (which I already have), and it strengthens loyalty. Kind of the way GW used to be about things.

I always have to give FFG's customer support top marks. I once lost my X-Wing damage deck at a LGS and inquired into how I could purchase a new one (before they had them for sale) and they sent me one for free. Just a few months ago, when I got into Armada, one of my star destroyers was missing the plastic insert in the bottom and so I asked how I could get that little piece so I could glue it back on and they sent me a brand new star destroyer. Makes it a no-brainer to route my hobby money into FFG stuff. I know I will get great games and if anything is ever wrong, I know I will be taken care of.

I did not receive an email back in regards to my loose mc30 shield dial but I just checked the status on the site and they are mailing a new one to me.

I just recieved an email saying a package is on the way, so I'll see what arrives in a few days.
