It might be an interesting thought experiment to compare the names in the credits for X-Wing to Armada and see what kind of overlap there is. I'm not sure that the observation "busy with X-Wing so can't work on Armada" necessarily rings true. As with any company I'm sure there are only so many that work on new models or new artwork and FFG certainly has a wide product line that I'm sure keeps them all busy.

I just said something to the same effect in another thread, but if Armada suddenly imploded and was kicked to the curb by FFG, it would remain one of my best table gaming investments of all time. It is a lovely game and even if this was all we were ever going to get, I would still be playing at home with friends for a very long time to come.

I agree, I have enough to fly most lists on both sides and have so many options I'd love to try out. Just not enough gaming time to do it in.

I'm sure I'll be playing some Wave 2 today. Being home sick sucks, and I'll pay dearly when I get back to work...

But since I'm well medicated and over slept, I've got some time on my hands. Now just to figure out Rebels in Wave 2.

But...I got a fevah, and the only cure...is more spaceships.

It is a great game without new ships - Armada already has a huge depth!

Just a bit of mathematics here: we got around 100 Upgrade Cards and 9 types of ships. That means we got a possible amount of upgrade/ship combinations (lists) which is around millions.

I may not even get ships from Wave 3, but there's really no reason why people can't do both. I'm sure a lot of us post here from work, and so it's not like we're giving up Armada time to post here.

Myself I don't want 6+ months between announcement and release, but I would like 2-3 months anyway so I can budget for anything I want to get.

I think the lack of news is an issue not so much because people don't like what they got, but because they want to know the what and when of wave 3.

I really think some people worrying actually want a LCG or similar with new stuff to distract them every month.

No not at all. Most everyone is fine with one or two waves a year, but that doesn't mean we don't want to have some idea what's coming next.

I would much rather have little to no news and a balanced game than many waves that turns into an arms race to "fix" things. I am also content to wait and see, though understand some others might not be. Until stuff hits the table ti is very hard to see how they will do.

One thing I love about this game is pretty much every ship I've hated and loved at one point, which feels great. I really hope that continues, and if that means more dev time than I am happy to wait.

But some more IFF podcasts would sure be good to hear... I need my fix of Armada talk and random hilarious banter.

I have heard a rumor that the delay is because actual Christopher Walken plays Armada and will be on the next podcast.

I think that many worry that no news = bad news. FFG usually starts teasing months ahead of time, so for there to be absolutely nothing on the horizon 3 months after the previous release is very out of character.
