I took part in another 100 point tournament at The Hobbit Hole in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire yesterday. There were 10 players in total

The List:

Green Squadron Pilot - Push The Limit, Predator, Autothrusters, Chardaan Refit & Title x 2
Blue Squadron Pilot - Fire Control System x 2

The overall plan was the B-wings would supply the accurate heavy firepower, the A-Wings would be annoying and tricky to hit. Plus at PS3, hunt Y-Wings and various PS2 ships.

Game 1 vs Bossk, Y-Wing With Ion Turret & Bombs & 2 x Z-95

Can't remember to much of this game. I know that a B-wing was stripped of all its shields by a single attack by Bossk. An A-Wing was caught with the bomb from the Y-Wing, dropping it to 1 hull. The Y-Wing was taken out first, with my A-Wings and the Z-95's following. This left the B-Wings to take down Bossk. I need to remember not to get behind ships carrying bombs and also Bossks ability can be brutal!

Game 2 vs Blue Sqd B-Wing With Accuracy Corrector x 3 & Blue Sqd T70 X-Wing

This game is where my A-Wings were at there best. With all my opponents ships at PS2, the A-Wings were going to be doing some serious arc dodging! I started poorly however, sending my B-Wings into a joust against all my opponents ships. I believe at the end of the melee, which lasted a couple of rounds, I was down both my B-Wings in exchange for 2 opposing B-Wings. Then my A-Wings went to work, destroying the last B-Wing, before the T70 fell a little while later. My opponent struggled to get arc and was whittled down.

Game 3 vs Ello Atsy with R5-P9, Keyan With HLC & Stressbot Y-Wing With Ion Turret

I had a pretty good opening to the game, managing to take out Keyan for no loss, after my opponent forgot Keyan was stressed ad ended up in front of a B-Wing. One of my B-Wings was ioned towards the edge of the map by the Y-Wing, this however left the Y-Wing in arc of the other B-Wing and with 1 hull left was vaporised. My B-Wing was able to 2 turn away from the edge, it was however tripled stressed. I lost an A-wing to an asteroid and a B-wing to Atsy who decided to go on a talon rolling rampage and subsequently soloed the remainder of my list

Lost 66-100

This has left me in the top 4 cut to my surprise as I thought my MOV might have been too low.

Game 4 vs Dash With HLC, Predator & Recon Specialist & Chewie With Predator

Oh dear, my B-Wings were taken out in a turn or two. HLC plus predator and focus meant that I faced 7 hits every turn from Dash & Chewie, my B-Wings didn't stand a chance. My A-Wings did stay in the fight for ages after that but either couldn't get arc or get hits through. I eventually lost one and with my last A-Wing on one hull I conceded. I think I took 4 shields of Dash and that was it.

So I ended up 2-1 in the swiss before losing in the top 4 cut. I though my list did well, the A-wings consistently got all hits with its dice thanks to predator and the focus. The B-wings did what they always do, put some hits through before normally getting taken out. Against Dash & Chewie, I maybe could have gone for Chewie first as it was an easier target, but either way Dash with the HLC was too much for me to handle. I did start my first 2 games rather poorly and managed to turn them back in my favour.
