FFG Customer Service Response Time

By Captain Awesome, in X-Wing

This Christmas I got a Rebel Transport as I was looking forward to getting into epic play with my son. :D However, the box did not include the epic-sized pegs, so I could not use it.

One of the things I loved about FFG was the praise I read in this forum about the quality of their customer service. So I filled out a request and had to wait about three weeks before I got a package in the mail. I was okay waiting this long because I assumed the delay was due to the holiday season and them likely getting swamped with requests.

Sadly, the package included two large-ship pegs, instead of two HUGE-ship pegs. :( I e-mailed customer service (instead of opening a new request) and waited two more weeks for a reply from FFG, in which they told me to open a new request. <_< So I have opened a new request. It is still "In Process" after a week.

I guess my question for those of you with positive experiences with FFG customer service, is it normal for them to take this long to get back with you? Am I crazy to be expecting more prompt responses?

I have had a request in the queue for a while now.

They got a bunch of new customers over the holidays, so I imagine that plays into the current delays.

The best customer service centers are still not perfect.

I've never heard them as fast. Just generous.

They aren't always fast but they are helpful. Between Armada and X-Wing; I've found FFG customer services to be fantastic. I'm sure the new movie and influx of new customers combined with X-Mas has taken it's toll on them. Think it took about 2 weeks to get a response on my last request...

Any chance its also due to their being bought by Asmodee......

Hey Man,

People are human and sometimes make mistakes. I have used them several times now and had no issues. Sometimes it happens, IMO they are still the best customer service I have ever seen.

I had one of my b-wing dials taken at a local event. I contacted customer service and got it a week later. They may have had a drop off over the years, but they are back to being the top notch organization (and if they keep up the good work I will happily sing their praises in Valhalla!!)

I am willing to wait. Mostly I just wanted to see if this sort of wait was typical - which it obviously is. Thank you everyone for the feedback. :)

Sometimes I wish Qui-Gon were here...

I was missing a plastic rivet in my Armada Imperial Star Destroyer set. I filed a missing piece report, and received a replacement within one week.

I was missing the all the cardboard out of my imperial raider when I got it a couple of weeks prior to Christmas. I had new cardboard in a week.

Yeah, just be patient. It took me a month or two but they will take care of you.

I've just got into the game, and out of the 3 expansions (plus the core) I've bought, two have had seriously-impeding-play manufacturing defects.

My YT-2400's peg socket (on the ship) was broken so it only just stayed on the peg (wobbled a lot & you couldn't pick up the stand by the ship), and then my K-Wing arrived with a completely mis-cast base that was completely unusable.

Am I just unlucky? Poorly manufactured minis is not something I've ever heard about for this game - they seem to have a good rep.

I genuinely think you're just unlucky. They will replace those X

I'm in the Uk and every time I've used the customer service it's involved parts shipped from the USA so it does take some time.

Also even though it says 'in process' on your page, scroll down and read the whole page. There may be updates on there.
