This is the story of how Lord Vader got his card on.
I really wanted the Vader alt art card and having played yesterday in a tournament and finished 4th after being 1st through the 1st 3 games(lost in round 4 no cut) i felt good about my chances.

Game 1
my opponent was my ride to the tournament and the TO didn't know that he should avoid placing people who drive down together in the first round but we played anyway since it's been a while since we faced each other. he was using
Vader+X1+ATC+Lone Wolf+Ion MK2
Whisper+VI+Adv.Cloaking,Agent Kallus,FCS
Royal Guard+VI+Autothrusters
i started the Shuttle in the right corner facing left with Soontir facing ip to make the shuttle bump, Vader was way left to try and flank, he came down the middle with the RG and i anticipated this and had Soontir and Vader waiting for him, without PTL and at R1 and 2 the RG went down in round 3, then there was a some moves to avoid Whisper with Soontir because he had given me initiative but while he chased Soontir my Vader was putting some dmg on his Vader, his fatal error came when he changed targets after Soontir kept avoiding Whispers 4 red dice and went for Vader, he moved his Vader first which ended up blocking his Whisper on and Asteroid with my Vader behind him, i then brought Whisper to 1 Hull and killed him the following turn, then both my aces turned on his Vader and brought him down in 2 turns of shooting.

Game 2
this game was against my best friend who i went to the tournament with and i have only beat him once in tournament play, he's also using Dash and he finished 2nd at Regionals last year with Dash so i was worried.
he's using

Eaden Vrill with HLC,Leebo and Tactical Jammer(he had 1 point why not)
i used the corner deployment but put Soontir next tor the Emperor and Vader on the left, he came down the middle with both but caused Vader to lose his shields, while Vader didn't do anything. my shuttle did take 2 shields of Vrill. then i managed to get Vader into the donut hole while i brought Soontir around and the shuttle headed up to safety.Vrill gave vader a dmg but Vader stripped the last of Vrill's shields thanks to help from Sheev.next he tried to block Soontir with a perfect BR and shoot him with Dash, it was perfectly played and Soontir bumped Vrill, Dash rolls 4 hits and i roll 4 evades without help from the emperor(omg), 2-3 turns later i take a gamble and us the Emperor to finish of Vrill but that leaves a token less Vader with no help and he takes 2 dmg from Dash and is gone. Dash then goes on to bring Soontir to 1 hull but the Emperor keeps him alive, so he switches to the shuttle and takes 3 turns killing it while Soontir sits in the donut hole picking away at Dash, Dash kills the Shuttle and shortly after time is called, Dash is at half and Soontir is on 1 hull the MVP i get a modified win

once again i lose the roll and get initiative, i use the same corner deployment as last game and his ships fly down the middle at speed 5, i see an opportunity and corner the AP between Vader and Soontir and easily pop him, then begins the weird cluster****, my shuttle banks to middle to face the onslaught and get some shots to then run away and my Soontir Banks left to avoid his Soontir behind me, his then lands perfectly next to mine with 1mm to spare but litterally even that he wasn't in my arc, his Vader then bumps into his Soontir and my Vader bumps into his Vader, i take and actionless R1 shot at his Soontir and get a hit and crit because i had ATC from last turn, i decide to change a blank to a crit and he rolls 1 evade and reveals a Direct hit 
, from here it's pretty much over, i let his Vader chase my Soontir while the shuttle and my Vader pump dmg into him until he dies to terrible green, and i finish of the Tempest a few turns later with both aces .

Game 4
this was the closest fight and i thought it was sure it was going to happen while i was eating in the break downstairs the Palpmobile fight

1 tie had a hull upgrade and i think it was Wampa but i forget
anyways it took a lot of turns before we exchanged fire that was until Wampa had a shot at my Vader at R3 and rolled a crit which gave my Vader a dmg card through shields, i then said i need to make sure that doesn't happen again so i went after his shuttle with all 3 of my ships, it took a while but i managed to kill it but i lost Soontir that same turn to a direct hit. his Ties tried to get shots on Vader but just narrowly missed and vader killed Wampa who had k-turned. now it's down to my Vader and shuttle against his Vader and Scourge, sicne we where running out of time he decided to go for my shuttle, i managded to force a bump and took 1 shield, then another move and only 1 of his shilds has a shot and the emperor makes it so i lose 3 shields so im down to 5 hull 1 shield, time runs out while where planning our moves so we get to finish, if he hits my shuttle it's a modified win for him, if he doesn't it's a modified win for me, i bank the shuttle infront of his Vader and Scourge K-turns putting him at R3 of my shuttle with no tokens, his Vader then bumps into my shuttle so gets no shots, it comes down to Scourge he needs to roll 2 hits and i have to roll at least 1 evade because the emperor will change the other, he rolls a hit and a focus, fwooooo.
so i get my modified win 43-35 so with my 4-0 record i finish 1st and win my 1st tournament, i'm tired but happy, this list drains you because most games go to time.
