Question is which will come first. the Scum & Villainy YT-1300 or the Resistance YT-1300.

Also the EU said it was a popular ship, but is that confirmed in canon anywhere?

The Thrawn books indicate that it is an incredibly rare ship. Han is stunned that the Noghri managed to find a working YT-1300 to impersonate the falcon.

the only place I have seen them indicated as common in in the RPGs, where every undiscriminating game group wanted their own MF.

If we see either, it'll be scum.

Rey might not inherit the falcon. We might see her in something else.

Scum pilots should be Han, Chewie, and Lando as opposed to the random throwaway TFA pilots (excluding Rey of course, but Resistance).

Stellar Envoy would also be a nice title for the ship.

That being said, the TFA version is even less distinctive than the /fos and Scum need another large pancake (especially a boring one like the Falcon) like they need another overpriced Scyk.

I am nearly convinced we'll see Rey in a T-70/85

Again, why not both? New yt-1300 with a new scum only title and both resistance and scum pilots.

This gives new players another Resistance ship and more seasoned players a reason to get a second YT-1300.

Brief summary of the ownership of the Millennium Falcon between Episode VI and Episode VII:
  1. Duquesne stole it from Han Solo.
  2. The Erwin Boys stole it from Duquesne.
  3. Unkar Plutt stole it from the Erwin Boys.
  4. Rey steals it from Unkar Plutt on Jakku.
  5. Han Solo takes possession back from Rey.
No mention of the 3 new names in Star Wars Aftermath as I was hoping,
but perhaps there will be more details in episode 8 or the novelization.
Same for more unique Rebel pilots.
I like the idea of a Veteran Smuggler, but not for the Rebels.
I think for the Rebels go with Outer Rim Spy, as Ackbar is always sending spies,
and give the Veteran Smuggler to the Scum faction.
Not just a title for the Sabra but both the Sabra & Selu.
And while where there, why not a Twin Suns Transport Services title.
A title card for the Stellar Envoy with a negative point cost, like the Chardaan Refit.

They were common in the TIE Fighter game.

Rey might not inherit the falcon.

Are you being serious? If they had hung a sign on her saying "this movie is passing the torch to Rey and now she's going to fly the falcon" it wouldn't have been any more obvious.

I would be even more eager to purchase if it came with a S&V conversion for the YT-2400

I read that as Han was shocked that some had a YT 1300 that looked identical to the Falcon, not that someone had a YT 1300.

Personally Id rather a different model YT than a repaint.

I don't want scum to have the 1300 either. Theme wise it kinda makes sense, but scum has too many rebel ships already, they feel too similar. It's not like there are any scum 1300s in the movies anyway that must be put in the game. I do think at least one more rebel piloti s likely.

I think you underestimate FFG's willingness to ignore canon limits.

If FFG has used it in another game, then it is FFG canon:https://images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com/filer_public/80/93/80935c12-24ac-442b-b423-687d4e28ae89/long_arm_of_the_hutt_lr.pdf

Nah, I'm sure they would be willing to do it canon or not, I just have no desire for it. Scum needs something DIFFERENT to really be an equal contender in this game. If they change the stats, it might as well be some other YT model, which would at least be more unique.

What. The Heck. Is that!

Personally Id rather a different model YT than a repaint.

If they need to add another large pwt to the game, make it a yt-2000.

Not interested in a Scum YT-1300 *AT ALL*.

There are so many ships that can be released for that faction that we don't need to continually give scum ships from other factions. It's boring and lazy.

I think the next two non-epic scum ships to be released will be the Scurrg Bomber (already in Armada) and the G1-M4-C Dunelizard.

The YT-1300 may not get a total reprint... (but smart money is that there will be) but there is not way that FFG does not find a way to refresh it with new pilots and titles. Episode VIII alone demands this.

So long as they keep it rebel only I'm happy with that. I see no reason why Episode VIII would demand a scum version.

Sure the more important canonicity question is "Is it confirmed in canon that the YT1300 is used by scum and villiany?"

The answer to this is of course, yes, There are several such examples, but probably the most significant is during episode IV, where the Millenium Falcon herself is flown by scum pilot Han Solo. When we first see Han Solo, he is independant scum. It is only after his initial scenes that he is taken (unknowingly) into the employ of the Rebellion. It is not until the end of the film that he could really be considered to maybe be a Rebel pilot rather than some scum that happens to have been hired by Rebel supporters.

(This is of course if we accept Kenobi to be an undercover member of the Rebellion. If he isn't, then for most of the film Han Solo is just a scum pilot hired by a cranky old man and a backwater farmboy chasing after some random lass he saw on Artootube.)

As for the issue of the Falcon stats being tied into the pilot cards, I don't think this is a massive problem:

- Rey and Unkar Plutt would get the same stats as Han & co. I would probably represent Unkar's modifications using his pilot ability (something along the lines of taking damage to perform a boost or SLAM or something).

- Generic pilots (both rebel and scum) would use the ORS statline, but would have access to a generic YT1300 only title that would allow for multiple modifications.

- Any other pilots would have other statlines that represent their own modifications to their personal YT1300s. Such modifications could even be along the lines of removing the PWT (in order to mount a more powerful forward arc primary maybe?)

This way, we could have scum piloted YT1300s (as dictated by canon), generic YT1300s would be fixed, anyone who wasn't specifically flying the Falcon would get something different, and we would get our Rey pilot :)

I think instead of releasing a brand new model they'll just repack it, maybe with another small ship. There is no reason to release another YT-1300 just for TFA. Why would anyone buy Han's Falcon then?

No, the only way it makes any sense is if it's a situation like Boba Fett and the Slave 1, where you have to buy the ship and then Most Wanted to run Scum Boba. This is the only way it makes any sense from a business standpoint. No one complains too hard about Most Wanted. It's basically your Scum starter kit. Now the real trick is to come up with a convincing Rebel version of the Most Wanted box that will actually make people want to go out and buy the old Falcon so they can run Rey AND be good enough value on it's own to attract players who aren't interested in it for Rey.

Myself, I would probably not buy a TFA Millennium Falcon, but I would be interested in a Rey pilot card and tab!

I do agree that a Falcon + Poe's T-70 seems very likely though

I completely agree with the OP. I mean, sure, there are lots of other ships they might release for Scum (like an Epic one!), but why not put out a second YT-1300, with the Krayt Fang title, some Resistance variants from TFA and some Scum variants from existing lore? Sounds like an easy way to make some money, and add some variety to the game, to me.

My wallet hopes they don't put out a new model... A new "Most Wanted" like pack would be preferable to me. What makes more business sense is a "new" YT-1300 model. It could be packaged as a Force Awakens miniature and include pilots and titles for both Scum and the Resistance. I have very little doubt that this will happen. The YT-1300 that FFG labeled "The Millennium Falcon" remains a top seller. New players and fans of the new movie are going to want Rey and Finn. This would also be a chance for them to create YT-1300 only modifications and titles to fix the ORS and create the feeling of a very customizable ship.

Here comes "Resistance Aces" with alternate paint and pilot card Poe AND a new Falcon with ORS stats with Rey and "Big bad Bowcaster Chewbacca Crew" that adds the 3rd dice to the primary.

I don't need two Falcons. They probably will rerelease it with the square dish, Rey and Finn because that's an obvious move.

I very much doubt we'll see Scum Falcons though, and I have no issue with that at all.
