With a new movie out, and a slightly different Falcon shown in it, I can't imagine FFG not releasing a new YT-1300 for X-wing. And there are many reasons to do so:

1) New rebel pilots (Need Rey as a pilot and Finn as a crew)

2) Scum pilots - this IS the most common freighter in the SW universe.

3) (or 2b) - A new (scum only) title is available "Krayt Fang"

4) (or 2c) - and the scum pilot originally attached to the Kryat Fang, Trex

**For those that play Edge of the Empire, the FFG Star Wars roll playing game, this is the ship that many adventurers first gain after a fight with Trex. Heck, my group (over a year latter) is STILL flying around in the Kryat Fang! I think it would be a great addition to X-wing.

A year ago, the thought of re-released large ships didn't make any sense, but the more I think about it, the more I start thinking it should happen. An aces-style expansion with a single large ship instead of 2 small ships. I can see reasons to do it for both the 1300 and the Firespray right now. Could include pilots for 2 factions in each, giving a boost to a wider player base, plus include some generics for the large ships. I find it a little annoying that you HAVE to play a named pilot if you want to fly a large ship that isn't bottom of the barrel. A couple generic pilots for each that are higher PS would be nice.

Also: I think if there were 2 Falcon boxes on the shelves, with the same ship/stats etc, it would cause a firestorm of controversy.

I wouldn't mind a Rebel Veterans pack that fixed the E-Wing, and also had cardboard for more YT-1300 pilots, options, etc.

Well, we don't know who else will be potentially flying it. If we went off only Episode IV, for example, Han would likely be the only pilot. I guess you could count Chewie during the TIE Fighter attack, too, but still. Lando pilots the ship in Episode V (where we learn it was his ship previously), and then takes out the Death Star in Episode VI.

All that to say, we might see others flying the Falcon throughout this current trilogy, which would definitely allow more Rebel / Resistance pilots to be included in a Millennium Falcon "Aces" pack.

Those upgrades titles and extra pilots could easily by included in a Rebels Aces and or a Scum Aces pack without a different ship. Same as they did for the HWK and Firespray in Most Wanted.

I don't want a new Falcon, but honestly it seems nearly inevitable. I fully expect that the majority of releases for the foreseeable future will be tied to the new films or to Rebels, and I have no problem with that other than I expect them to want me to buy another Falcon to go with the one I already have and don't play. Problem is, I also fully expect it to have new crew options that are too good to ignore.

I'd be less bothered if we got a set like Monday Wanted that focuses on some other ships and has new cards and bases for the Falcon. I hope this is the route they take. But before the Falcon, myself and many others hope our beloved T65s get an update.

The question is what will come first. The Scum YT-1300 or the Resistance YT-1300.

An aces pack with the 1300 would have an alternat paintjob so it would look nothing at all like the falcon, so that isn't an issue. And if they did give it some scum pilots, they would all have the outer rim smuggler stats, so it would be used completely differently from the falcon.

The best option is a "Most Wanted 2" pack.

And a similar pack for the Rebels having cards for a Rey YT-1300 pilot.

I'd like to see this. And maybe make it a dual faction ship (both faction pilots and upgrades in the same box). Or add the cards for new pilots and titles in an Aces or Veterans pack.

I like the idea of different stats for the scum pilots. And use titles to modify its load-out or stats.

Or...

YT-1000 for scum. Rey and the like released for the 1300 in a Veterans pack. I like the fluffy idea that the YT series was common among various groups of people and can be seen in various places with various pilots.

FFG has one huge problem with the YT-1300: The design flaw that gives the named pilots extra buffs over the Outer Rim Smuggler. It's the only ship with two different stat-lines and it's a VERY unfortunate design.

In my opinion, they should errata the ORS to buff it up with a 3-1-8-5 stat-line and make it cost some more points.

That way, the Millennium Falcon Title will still mean something when applied to any YT-1300 pilot.

I would love to see a new YT-1300 model (with rectangular dish) that has baseline stats of 3-1-8-5 for ALL pilots.

FFG could include the new ORS pilot card and base template, so we can all rip up our old ones. It's not that difficult to do.

I know their policy is not to errata when they don't have to, but they have a perfect opportunity to fix the mess that is the ORS conundrum which sticks out worse than a sore thumb.

FFG is very very unlikely to give an illicit slot to a Rebel ship.

So you must mean a Scum only Millennium Falcon title, which is also unlikely.

Don't get me wrong. I'd love to see a Rey card. I just dont see it happening unless we see at least one other canon rebel pilot.

We already have enough for 3 named and 1 generic scum pilots, plus a few titles.

I definitely dont think another model is necessary. Most wanted 2 would be the best idea imo.

I think you underestimate FFG's willingness to ignore canon limits.

If the Falcon gets an Aces pack/Force Awakens Pack, why not have both if you say increase the stats then create a new pilot "Veteran Smuggler" so now the ship has 2 generics one cheap one not so cheap

Well why not, but the Stellar Envoy technically is the Falcon. Which statline would you use for that ship then?
