So I recently joined the Facebook Vassal Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/starwarsarmadaonline/) which has been fun so far, but I was wondering how often people just hop on when they have a free afternoon over the weekend or in the evenings and look for a pick up game on Vassal. The lobby is pretty much always empty in my experience.

I tend to hop on for pick up games on Sundays when I can.

I seem to be on at odd hours. Curse of Europe.

I got two games in today. Things seems to be picking up a little more of late. Hopefully it keeps going that way.

I play three, maybe four, games a week on vassal most weeks (or slightly less if I'm busy).

I will be dropping in more in the next couple of weeks in the ramp up to Store Champs. Other than my Vassal comp game tonight my focus this week is on XWing

Work keeps me from it during the week and something came up this weekend so I haven't tried it yet. If we get the blizzard we're supposed to tonight I'll try it tomorrow

O.K. tried my first vassal game and loved it except I need to get another screen to do it right. Every time my opponent used the private chat, it would pop to the front and I'd be pulled from what I was doing and have to start over. I'm sure I did the same thing to him without thinking about it, chat in person, or online is part of the game. The game was good, but the interface was frustrating on just my laptop. I think once I have a second screen to put things on it will be better

Use skype, it really cuts down the time vs typing to indicte whatever you're doing.

Shrink the individual boxes so that the chat box is nice and small with the map on 90% of the screen

Don't do the private chat! It's OK for saying hello you wanna play? But not for gaming. Just use the public chat function for that room - or engage on Skype/Teamspeak.
