Empire lists, what do you think? Against scum

---

Hi,

Here are some list ideas in order to beat crackshot brobots.

I would want to know what do you think about them.

This is the list to beat:

100 points.

Aggressor: IG-88B (36 + 14)
+ Crack shot (1)
+ Fire Control System (2)
+ Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
+ Glitterstim (2)
+ IG-2000 (0)
+ Autothrusters (2)
Aggressor: IG-88C (36 + 14)
+ Crack shot (1)
+ Fire Control System (2)
+ Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
+ Glitterstim (2)
+ IG-2000 (0)
+ Autothrusters (2)

And here are some list ideas.

What do you think?

List 1:

100 points??? --> Read below

TIE Punisher: "Redline" (27 + 10)
+ Fire Control System (2)
+ Extra Munitions (2)
+ Flechette Torpedoes (2)
+ Cluster Missiles (4)

TIE Advanced: Darth Vader (29 + 8)
+ Predator (3)
+ TIE/x 1 (0)
+ Engine Upgrade (4)
+ Adv. Targeting Computer (1)

TIE/FO Fighter: "Omega Leader" (21 + 5)
+ Juke (2)
+ Comm Relay (3)

I think here would be better maybe 2 academy pilots in order to block the IGs, or maybe a Zeta Ace + juke + comm relay to block them, but i dont know what to do with the other points.

List 2:

TIE Punisher: "Redline" (27 + 10)
+ Fire Control System (2)
+ Extra Munitions (2)
+ Flechette Torpedoes (2)
+ Cluster Missiles (4)

TIE Phantom: "Whisper" (32 + 9)
+ Fire Control System (2)
+ Rebel captive (3)
+ Advanced Cloaking Device (4)

TIE/FO Fighter: Omega Squadron Pilot (17 + 5)
+ Juke (2)
+ Comm Relay (3)

List 3:

TIE Phantom: "Whisper" (32 + 9)
+ Fire Control System (2)
+ Rebel captive (3)
+ Advanced Cloaking Device (4)

TIE Advanced: Darth Vader (29 + 8)
+ Predator (3)
+ TIE/x 1 (0)
+ Engine Upgrade (4)
+ Adv. Targeting Computer (1)

TIE/FO Fighter: Omega Squadron Pilot (17 + 5)
+ Juke (2)
+ Comm Relay (3)

What do you think about them?

Which one of those could beat crackshot brobots better?

I fear the first shooting round because they would be easily at range 3 or 2 and can deal a lot of damage to the most important ships.

Thank you!

Your first list is similar to one i run.

Redline

FCS

Assault Missiles

Cluster Missiles

EM

Vader

And yes 2 APs should do better for blocking. You can change out the Assault M for Homing M. I like to keep the assaults in case of swarms.

Your first list should be able to do alright. Your goal is to kill 1 IG88 and NOT lose Vader (the rest of your guys are expendable towards your goal of removing a robot from the table). 1v1, Vader can beat a robot pretty easily as long as you are good at dodging arcs.

Some things to keep in mind: the IG88s can kill one of your ships very quickly, so whatever they focus on will die without accomplishing much. If you go with omega leader and grab a TL, at least that will make it difficult for 1 robot to hurt him (they will probably kill Redline first in that case, since he's the easiest to destroy). If you go with academy pilots, IG88s kill them very easily without even blinking, but they might want to go for Redline first, allowing your academies to get some blocking in (they can only meaningfully hurt an IG88 at range 1 anyway).

Your 2nd & 3rd lists can also work (I actually just beat dual IG88s at a tourney yesterday with my version of your 3rd list----Vader was a champ in that match thanks to lone wolf). However, without Veteran Instincts on Whisper, you are living dangerously against any other lists (its relatively easy to kill Whisper when there are a number of ships with higher PS than her).

Instead of Cluster and Flechette I would run Proton torps on Redline. They give you a little more punch and hopefully you can land a crit on the 1 IG you target. I wouldn't load up Redline with more than 1 ordnance. He's likely not going to survive long enough to use them all.

98 points, OL Excels against low ship counts. IG B? more like IG-U(seless) yeah sure he gets to reshoot. its unmodified, PLUS at PS 8/9/9 you move after and can just dodge arc ANYWAY

or if you want an extra bit of punch/control drop predator give Vader Prockets for damage or Ion Pulse missiles for control. IG-B just Sloop? and you're still out of arc? IPM him. keep em stressed and make him scooch forward. still stressed!

I think soontir is not a good chooice against crackshot brobots... If there is one turn you cant arc dodge they can kill you in 1 turn.

theres never a turn he cant arc dodge. unless you fly him in to a corner theres always an exit strategy.

Hi again!

And what do you think about this lists against crackshot brobots?

TIE Punisher: "Redline" (27 + 7)
+ Fire Control System (2)
+ Extra Munitions (2)
+ Plasma Torpedoes (3)

TIE Phantom: "Whisper" (32 + 10)
+ Veteran Instincts (1)
+ Fire Control System (2)
+ Rebel captive (3)
+ Advanced Cloaking Device (4)

Lambda-class Shuttle: Omicron Group Pilot (21 + 3)
+ Darth Vader (3)

Could it work?

Or would be better other lists?

if you know 100000% you will be facing CRACKSHOT brobots, and not VI Brobots..... VI on whisper is moot.

also if its BC Brobots, i would throw a Homing missile on there to cover your R3 Band and get rid of that pesky evade token usage...

something like...
