Talisman Tasks, Supplement 1

By JCHendee, in Talisman Home Brews

The following are my start in expanding upon the recent Talisman Tasks expansion. I'm not so sure about them as they stand, so I offer them up for suggestions. I tried to add a little "Event" flavor to these, since they are rather simplistic "quests" open to any adventurer who can get to them first. I have some misgivings about their influences.

And yet another potential card if anyone would like to critique it, just keep in mind that it is not the only card and part of set that may count out at 24 once this part 2 of Talisman Tasks is done.

Very nice. The only thing I might query is how you would keep track of the 5 rounds in the last card.

Yes, I had the same concern. There wasn't enough room to address it on the card, but I suppose during the turn of the person who drew it, a token could be placed on it. The tokens would have to be passed to whoever might steal it after it becomes an Object. It is a fussy in the details.

On the other hand, those few who would actually use these versus the easy and automatic commercial ones would probably be able to figure something out. But if you've got any suggestions, feel free. I'm still concerned that the first two might be a bit much in overkill.

About the "A Gift of Arms".

I was wondering, since the Sword is +2, shouldn't it be a Magic Object?

And about the timing, it can be easily tracked with a die, but I would just give 6 rounds. This suggests die by itself.

Yup, I had thought about that. But for game mechanics, there are more that interact with Objects than with specifically Magic Objects. I wanted to leave that open for more complications and trouble with this quest. Maybe it's just very well made. sonrojado.gif

Okay, 6 rounds it is. Mostly I wanted a timing mechanism, because we all know, sooner or later, that +2 will be just too tempting to keep for a while. And that's part of why I didn't make a +1... TEMPTATION! demonio.gif
